David Kameron who goes by Kam Kameron as listed on Facebook is posing as a credit repairer who can remove all debts including student loans. He uses the Human Trafficking letter as a way of removing debt illegally for those who truly owe debt. This is his primary way of removing debt due to the expedited turnaround time. Majority of his clients have never been trafficked and he’s using a sensitive issue to defraud the credit bureau disputing system. His website lists fake persons to seem as if they have experience and knowledge. He is listed as Kam K Consulting LLC on the state corporation commission website. All credit bureaus should be made aware of this scheme and people are paying him to perform the illegal act.
BBB: Checking a company's legitimacy
Before engaging with any credit repair company, take these steps:
Check for online reviews and complaints: Search for the company's name along with terms like "scam" or "complaints." Websites like the Better Business Bureau and online forums can provide valuable insights.
Verify CROA compliance: Ensure the company adheres to the requirements of the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA).
Report suspicious activity: If you suspect a company is engaging in illegal or fraudulent practices, report them to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and your state's attorney general's office.
Remember, building a good credit score takes time and effort. There are no shortcuts or quick fixes. You can improve your credit by making on-time payments, reducing debt, and responsibly using credit. If you're overwhelmed by debt, consider seeking assistance from a non-profit credit counseling service.
