When searching for airline flights to Europe on kayak.com I saw good prices from this company, Travelo1.com. I contacted them and purchased $2500 airline tickets from San Francisco to Lisbon, Portugal. When they sent me the airline confirmation number they had booked me in Standard Economy instead of the Premium Economy seats that were specifically noted on the form I agreed to purchase. The company has refused to refund the tickets and the airline will not cancel them since they specify that only the purchasing travel agent can do so. What a scam. Many further contacts with Travelo1 trying to resolve this led to me foolishly paying a "cancellation fee" of $350 which of course did NOT lead to a refund on the original tickets. Now out $3000. Just last week the company texted me from a new number, 205-564-5884, using the name Alberto Ruiz, and offering to book any new flights I needed. They also contacted me as James from 646-795-6512. Complete crooks, and not based in the US as far as I can tell. Previous research indicated they may be in Egypt, but that may be fake as well.
