This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I was online and saw an ad for a facial peel. It was free to try and 0.99 for shipping. I paid the .99. I noticed after about a week the charge was still pending. A few days later it cancelled itself from my bank statement. Every month since they try to charge me $34.06. I have no subscription for them so I’m sure it’s a total scam. Luckily I keep my card locked, I’m sure some people don’t.
