Description
I visited musclevintagecars.com in search of a collectible car (musclevintagecars are already on BBB scam site, but I hadn't gotten that far in my search) and was emailed by [email protected] about the car in their inventory and their escrow company that would be used for the sale. Having not heard of that site, I looked up reviews. Reviews were largely positive, but also from sites I'm not familiar with. I used ICANN's lookup on each of the domains (and provouchmotors.com) and determined they were all created the same day, and all within 15 minutes of each other. They are persuasive, and even ended up linking those review sites when I was concerned, they wouldn't let me see the car or perform a PPI. I cut off communication with them and wrote this message so hopefully no one else gets scammed by their "too good to be true" prices. As a buyer, you do not have to use the seller's escrow company. You pay the escrow fees, you get to use whatever escrow you want. If it's too good to be true, it likely is.
