Description

Got a call from private caller, left a message that I owed money and to call back. A male left this message. “We are reaching out to ………name….., This is a final attempt to assist you with resolving this matter in our office ,before we approve the status of filing a claim against you in ……county name….to avoid order against your assets. Call the office at (866) 914-3485. Thank you. Called office, message said, we have this number associated with ….name…., if this is ….name… press 1, if this is not you press 2 and we will stop calls. I pressed 1, immediately got Jane Clay, she talked about a debt that I had from 2009 from Household Bank, that I owed money on. She reminded me that when I signed for the credit card that there wasn’t a statute of limitations on this debt. She said that I owed money that they would work with dropping the debt by $1000 and I could make three payments to get this taken care of, and that I would get a notification that the debt was cleared. She said I needed to sign an agreement to pay the debt. I felt threatened and I signed the note, which was sent to my email. She could see that I submitted it. She said, since I was so upset, that she would call me to back to check in on me. They never called back, so I called them. I talked to Jane, again, she calmed me down. I then called them back because I was leary about what I had signed. I was transferred to Jane’s Supervisor Jennifer, and she was very threatening and said to make the payments in what you agreed to, or I will be served today. She also confirmed my full name, address, email, phone, and full SS number. ( She had all of this information) and I confirmed it. She said I should call back in a week to make a payment with them or notify them that I made the payment, from the instructions on the agreement I had signed. I started to think about things, goggled some things, and talked to some people, I realized I was scammed. I am not contacting them or answering any of their calls.
