This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Called Comcast-Xfinity to cancel a trouble call. Was told there still may be a service charge. They would not take a check or put it on my bill. I stupidly gave out a credit card number and then realized my stupid mistake. I quickly called Capital One and cancelled a $198.00 charge to my credit card of which they used PayPal under the guise of gift certificates.
