On December 8, 2024, I used a third-party hotel booking app called Booking.com to locate a hotel that I needed to book unexpectedly in Indianapolis, IN for the JW Marriott. I ended up finding a better rate with Holisto, so I booked the hotel using the Holisto rate for a total of $1,118.01. However, on December 9, 2025, it was brought to my attention that Holisto was a scammer and that the hotel would not be honoring my purchase. So I immediately tried to contact Holisto and DID NOT receive an answer to my call (no way to leave a message). I tried many times in the month of December, as I had to book then hotel directly from the JW Marriott. Having no refund from Holisto and after many attempts, I sent Holisto an email and to this day, noone has replied to me. I opened a Dispute with my credit card (Citi Bank) who worked tirelessly to get in touch with Holisto to retrieve the funds back, so that my bank could return the funds to me. Holisto sent a letter to Citi Bank telling them that their services were not refundable, so Citi Bank made me pay my credit card bill of $1,118.01. (I had to pay to avoid interest charges). I have continued to reach out to Holisto for a refund as I never did use their services and they got FREE money from me. This is unacceptable and their website should be taken down/removed. I have seen MULTIPLE reviews from this website stating that they are fraud and not to use them. Why are they still able to sell bookings to customers when hotels do not honor their bookings. I am still over 6 mos later, trying to get my money back. I do not intent to stop until I do!
