Silkway LLC (https://www.silkwaymoving.com/) is not a legitimate company, and they were supposed to help me move on 6/28. I booked the move on 6/9 through Thumbtack, and did not receive any contact from them after I paid a $100 credit card deposit. Their Thumbtack page (https://www.thumbtack.com/va/fairfax/movers/silkway-llc/service/543550128051224589) has since been removed. I attempted to call them several times today (202-297-5121), but there was no answer and the voicemail was not set up. I also tried to email ([email protected]) and did not get a response. There is another company, Silk Way LLC (https://silkwaymovers.com/), that has Yelp reviews, but there are none for Silkway LLC. I also tried searching the DOT FMCSA directory (https://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/hhg/Search.asp?ads=a), and Silk Way LLC is listed, but Silkway LLC is not (see below).
