Description
Received a pop-up notice that my Webroot Virus protection had expired, so I pressed the tab to update when the notice came back up, I went online to find out what was the problem. When I went to the Carbonite website, I called the Tech phone offered for assistance. A lady answered so nicely and said she will transfer me to the Technician for help. He also sounded so polite with an accent, I could hear someone whisper to him and asked is this Webroot. He assured me that he was checking through some of the unnecessary apps. I saw a black screen with all the area I went to including my bank. He actually opens up my bank statement, I then became concerned, but it was too late by that time. Money was taken.
