While on Pinterest website, there was an ad for Knox & River clothing supposedly based out of New York. It states on the website "We're closing down. All items up to 70% off." There is a detailed story about Olivia and Michael, the owners, who are planning to retire. The website also states "Rooted in New York, our designs empower confident and unique self-expression. In less than a decade, Knox & River has earned a respected place in The United States." I placed an order on April 28, 2025 for 8 items totaling $355.95 for which I paid by credit card online, claiming shipping would be up to 5 - 10 days. Following the "track my package" I learned that the order was coming from Mainland China via YunExpress. The tracker shows that the items arrived in the US May 9, 2025 and have been in customs "in clearance processing - Import." After repeated emails to their customer support, they refuse to cancel the order or refund my money although clearly this is a fraudulent website and scam. If you do a search on this business name on the Internet, others warn that this is a scam and fraud. I am unable to file a complaint as there is no known address in New York and they are not discoverable by the BBB.
