We reached out to a property owner named Jacob in Nicholasville, Kentucky through airbnb, about a vacation rental. He asked us to bypass Airbnb and book directly through his personal website: https://www.thegranitestatecollection.com. We went through with the booking (~4500), but the listing was never marked as unavailable — not on Airbnb and not on his site. Afterward, we found several online posts from others describing similar experiences. One example is this Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/lexington/comments/1kht361/kentucky_dream_estate_in_richmond_questions/, which also mentions that the operation may have previously gone by The Farm LLC. You can also check out the facebook group "Granite State Collection FKA the farm reviews" where multiple users state they have gone through the same thing. Please be cautious — if you're considering booking with this owner or through that site, do some research first. We unfortunately learned the hard way.
