I received an email from [email protected] on 6/19/2024 @8:39pm that said verbatim: “I'm delighted to inform you that your candidature was reviewed for a Project Manager position. Please send your resume to this email to get more details. Best Regards, Wendy ” I didn’t recall applying to a job with this company so I googled it and the website looked very fishy, i guess they were still making it because when i looked again on 06/18/25 it look like a legit and fully functioning website. I sent my resume 06/18/2025 at 10:34am, they responded at 1:18 the same day with a job offer. the job offer said verbatim: “Following your interest in the Project Manager position at First Absolute Success, I am pleased to offer you the position. I would like to ask if you could review the attached job description at your convenience and confirm your continued interest in this opportunity. I will gladly provide you with further details as soon as I receive your confirmation. If there are any questions, call me (347) 407-7818 between 9 am and 5 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Sincerely, Wendy Balinski” along with a pdf that said verbatim: “We are pleased to offer you the Project Manager position. So i put the website name with “scam” next to it and i clicked a link to a website called “scamadviser.com” which gave the website a score of 66/100 & said verbatim: “Positive highlights We found a valid SSL certificate DNSFilter labels this site as safe Negative highlights The Tranco rank (how much traffic) is rather low The registrar of this website is popular amongst scammers The age of this site is (very) young.” so I went back on the website and got the addresses that were listed at the bottom and looked them up. The address in Canada is some type of entertainment production building and the one in New York has never heard of them. I then Googled the phone number that was provided to me & it brought me to the website where i read a story of someone who was offered a job (different company name, same phone number) and when she got the job they made them open a bank account and then tried to make them do cryptocurrency and refused to give them work when they said they didn’t want to work with cryptocurrency.
