    We purchased a hood from this company for out truck. The fit of the hood was less than despicable. It overhung the was too short on both sides of the truck at the fenders and was cracked and warped. The fit of this hood was inches off all the way around I notified the company via email and voicemail and received no response at all from the company itself. I did receive a call from Amerihood, the mfg, who refused to send a call tag and replacement and told me to destroy the hood and they would instruct LM Performance to issue a refund. I was supposed to receive confirmation of the refund and it was never received. I was forced to file a dispute with the credit card company used for the purchase. LM Performance had the audacity to send me an email stating, and I quote, "Wow so you do a chargeback on us??? You will be delt with." I was further copied in an email to Amerihood from LM Performance that stated I was a criminal. This is the worst company to deal with. No one contacts you and their professionalism is, obviously, a disgrace.

    HI, we as well as Amerihood have sold 1000s of these exact hoods. NEVER has there been a fitment problem. After you said it did not fit both LMP AND AMERIHOOD asked for pictures which you NEVER provided! So yes you are a criminal as you kept the hood and now did a chargeback to keep our money. Would you not feel the same way we do? If someone stole from your store would you not be upset???

    Just another info for you as well. IF you are telling the truth about AMERIHOOD issuing a refund to us we never received any refund nor any statements or claims they would. All you had to do was ask us.

    I will follow up and post the response from AMERIHOOD regarding this situation. i will post word for word as to what they respond with. Again i have heard nothing of your situation until your chargeback other then the initial email saying the hood did not fit, which we responded asking for pictures and details. We received nothing. I believe AMERIHOOD also asked you for pictures and communicated directly with you so once they send me what corresponded between you i will post it here. And yes in our eyes you were a criminal for doing a chargeback "which is stealing" without any explanation or correspondence. I do apologized if my words sound harsh but I tend to get offended and upset when people try to "steal" or commit fraud against us. God commands us to forgive, so I am forgiving you.

    RESPONSE FROM AMERIHOOD: "Sorry I was just told manager is not coming in today. He is in the hospital. He is the one that contacted the customer. Customer was saying hood had crack on it. I saw the picture, it must had been damaged during the shipping. We will never send a damaged hood to a customer. Hood needs to be inspected upon delivery. We can not be responsible after package is signed for in good order. and as for the fitment, we have sold 15 of the same hoods since May. No issue at all. You can even find a video clip posted by previous buyer on youtube. They even put a note NO MODIFICATION NEEDED in the video. This aftermarket hood, it wont fit 100% like stock hood. Adjustment is needed sometimes. If I remember correctly, customer had a modified bumper on the truck."

    Your facts are skewed and incorrect. On 9/26 I left a voicemail stating the problems with the hood…which you sent me a transcript of. That evening I received a call from a gentleman at Amerihood (I do not recall his name but his cell is 626-388-02..). That evening I forwarded numerous pictures of the hood and the fitment problems. He stated he was going to turn them over to his manager. The next day, 9/27 I left another message at the number who had called me, because no one had contacted me back, and received a call back from Norbie…again asking for pictures which I immediately forwarded to his number of (626)482-81.. He texted back stating he had received the pictures and would show them to his supervisor. 9/28 I sent him another message asking him to call, which he did. I asked him to replace the hood, which he refused to do. He stated that if that one didn’t fit that none of them would and flat out refused to send a new one. Norbie also stated that it wasn’t cost effective for them to send a call tag for the hood if it was defective. He told me to destroy the hood and he would issue a refund to LMP and I would receive a confirmation email in 24 hours WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED…and still haven’t received to this day. I have all the confirmations of pictures sent so your statement of I never sent pics is a lie. YOUR COMPANY..LMP…NEVER CONTACTED ME ONCE. NEVER ASKED FOR A PICTURE…NEVER CALLED BACK…NOTHING. All of my correspondence were with Amerihood, which after doing some research on your company, doesn’t surprise me. You are simply a call center with no facility. The main address for your company is a house and the second address is simply an office. You’re nothing but a drop shipper and have no physical contact with this merchandise at all. Now, as for your libelous statements toward me…..I am not a criminal and have every legal right to dispute charges against a company who has never contacted me and who’s appointed representative refused to replace the item and instructed me to destroy the hood and I would receive a refund, which has never been received. You had my money and all I had was a product that could not be used due to it being defective. Your company not only never contacted me but you, apparently, contacted your manufacturer and dropped it in their lap and, by your actions, appointed them your representative. Perhaps your company should’ve contacted me instead of depending on the manufacturer to handle your problems. You can’t get anyone to answer a phone at your company but simply get a recording of an English woman asking to leave a message. This entire situation could’ve been handled amicably but you’re, apparently, not worried enough about customer satisfaction but only how much money you bring in. This is evidenced by the fact that the first I have heard from you is when I initiate a chargeback. Hit your pocket and all of a sudden you’re interested. You should’ve stood behind your product, since you’re the company who sold it to me, and this entire situation would’ve been avoided. As for your statements….”you will be dealt with”…and calling me a criminal…do you regularly go around communicating threats and making libelous statements? You do realize that these are civil and criminal crimes right? Maybe a call to my attorney and the Okaloosa County Sheriffs office are in order. Statements like this are taken very serious and is not normal behavior nor is it showing an ounce of professionalism, care or concern. Just to surmise.. ..I received a defective product ..I left a message stating the problem ..you had the manufacturer contact me back instead of handling it yourself ..the manufacturer received all the pictures showing the poor fit…overhanging edges, bowing, very large gaps etc ..the manufacturer (Norbie) refused to replace the product. Refused to send a call tag or do any further business with me and instructed me to destroy the hood and I would receive a refund as they would refund you ..a confirmation email of the refund would be received in 24 hours which…to date…has never received. Now after all these incidents if you think this is a proper way to do business…you shouldn’t be in business. Next time, don’t pass the buck and handle things yourself.
