On or about 3/18/2022 I hired the plumbing company to look at and fix an issue with my water meter, that apparently wasn't to code. They informed that they charge $150 to come down, but that goes towards the work done, if I choose to have it done. They came down, and said that to fix the problem it would cost $1565-$2465. This sounded outrageous to me. I called another licensed plumber who fixed it all for $950. The $150 charge they are still asking for is a hostage charge, and illegal. While I agreed to pay $150 if I choose not to use their service, that was only on condition that it would go to the cost of fixing it, if I choose to fix it, and that they wouldn't hike up the pricing a great deal. What this company is doing is having people invest $150 into using their company, and then charge outrageous costs, ensnaring costumers to use their service, as otherwise they will lose their $150 fee. After looking online for other costumer reviews, it became clear to me that I wasn't the only victim of this scam, and that this is a business practice of theirs that they regularly do. Charging a fee to come down is fine. Having it go towards the fixing of the problem is fine. But then you can only charge the fair amount. As that is the agreement; that it go towards the fixing of the problem, not the fixing of the problem and another 65% skyrocket charge.

Stay away from this lowlife thieving SUPPOSED LEGITIMATE plumbing outfit. My brother is a 75 year old handicapped ******* Marine veteran. He called this thieving lowlife outfit which I find VERY hard to believe has ANY favorable reviews, let alone 1.2k, to replace the rubber flapper, and flush valve in THREE basic tank/bowl water closets (toilet bowls). This lowlife charged him $1,281.00. $1,281.00! He even stated specifically in his invoice with a clear head exactly what I describe was done. There is NO exaggeration on my part. I would stay from this THIEVING RAT like the plague. FAIR WARNING!

Hello *******, As a Disabled ******* Veteran Owned and Operated home service company serving Staten Island and NJ since 1978, we would like to thank your brother for his service to our great nation. As a business, we invest weekly in training our team on customer service and hold 1:1s with each and every team member in the field and in the office so we can maintain our great reputation. The *****+ reviews you mentioned, is a reflection of our team culture of training and coaching to ensure we are the best we can be. Our service professional, *****, did a thorough evaluation of the entire system including addressing all plumbing concerns the client, ****** had. *****, then drafted 6 different up front and transparent options with varying pricing depending on what job ****** wanted to get done. The client, ******, picked an option that suited his needs with the agreed upon price prior to us doing the work. The proposal ****** approved was the Minor Toilet rebuild including a 5 year warranty on the work performed. I understand this sounds like a lot of money and it is. Operating a great company costs more than just the plumber's hourly salary and the material for the job. Factors such as union benefits, licenses, GL insurances, workers compensation insurance, fleet management, office salaries, computer expenses, drug testing, background checks and much, much more must be considered in our overhead and in turn, reflects in our pricing. We use a flat rate price book that encompasses all of our direct and indirect costs for each job that is performed. This flat rate price book does not fluctuate from job to job and it is not adjusted per customer. It is unfair to accuse a company of thieving when the client had the opportunity to choose or decline any option we gave them before commencing the work. We do what we can to lower our costs but we will not cut corners to do so. We strive to be the best in our industry and our pricing with industry leading warranties reflects the hard work and dedication all of our employees put in to make our company amazing.
