BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning advertising practices of this company. Consumers are telling BBB they are approached via email by representatives of Mirina Collections to become Brand Ambassadors for the company on social media. These consumers claim the company offers them a handmade and unique necklace (valued at $180) in return for the consumers tagging the company in photos on their Instagram feeds, as well as 20% discount codes for the consumers’ Instagram followers. These consumers also allege that Mirina Collections requires them to pay shipping and handling of $40+ for the gift necklace. After receiving the necklace, many consumers reported that it was not consistent with the representation on the website and that the quality of the necklace is inferior to the one advertised. Some even claim to have seen duplicate necklaces offered from $5-$27 on sites such as Amazon.com and Aliexpress.com. In addition, several consumers claim that the discount codes they were given do not work. Consumers that do attempt to reach the company to discuss the Brand Ambassador program or request a refund for the shipping fees reportedly encounter a great deal of difficulty getting a response.
