We moved from *********** to ** on 4/8-4/13/22. There was a significant amount of damage done to our possessions. Many boxes arrived smashed, in several pieces of furniture, drawers and sliding doors no longer work properly if at all. Everything worked perfectly prior to the move, or we would not have paid to move it! We paid for storage of our possessions on the 2 moving trucks and were assured that our things would remain on the trucks, safely locked, for the days between our moves. However, the movers told us that they were putting our items onto their trucks, that they were going to off-load our things on Friday so they could use the trucks for another job on Saturday. They said, "it's a high-paying job in the Hamptons." We spoke with *********************, the owner, and after a very unpleasant conversation with him, he agreed to keep our things on the trucks. However, upon arrival of our things in our new home, the movers verified that our things were, in fact, off-loaded and reloaded, against our agreement. Whether this off-loading and reloading of the trucks were the cause of the excess damage, we can never know for certain, but we have hundreds of photos and some videos to show the damage that was done. We submitted our insurance claim form to Maffucci on 1/4/22, within the 9 month allotted time frame. They would not allow us to send a flash drive with the **************** so we had to send it all via email. It took 44 emails to send all of our photos. Their communication with us is sorely lacking. We are not hearing back from them about our claim. We've reached out to them repeatedly. Yesterday we were told that it is no longer in the hands of our contact person, but that **************** is taking care of it. Can you help us get our claim satisfactorily resolved? Your web page asks for photos, but we have 300 photos and a few videos. I can only send a few on your web site here.We really appreciate whatever you can do to help us with this.
