    On October 28, 2020 went to Honest Monument Co. **** ******** Road Memphis TN XXXXX to purchase death date engraving services for my mom headstone in the amount of $328.00. On that date spoke with salesperson ******** ***** and we were giving a written invoice with a delivery date of January 28, 2021 to complete the engraving process. On 02/23/21 called Honest Monument and spoke with ******** & ********* ******** stated that engraving services was behind 2 weeks and she will call when it was completed. On 04/05/21 called and spoke with ******** due to engraving services not been completed and visited the location on 04/06/21 and spoke with ******** in person and she advised again that it will be another 2 weeks. As of May 10, 2021 still yet to receive the engraving on the headstone for my mom which is now 4 months outside of the time that was given to have engraving completed.

    I purchase a tombstone for my daughter they told me it was too small to put both our names and birthdays on it. The fonts ar different and I took pictrues of tombstones way smaller than mine. The owner messes it up and he want me to pay 480$ to fix his mistake. The young man that met me at the cemetery stated he did it and the owner lied. The daughter was irate and I want them to redo my baby tombstone. I paid almost 3000$ for it and it looks horrible.

    Thank you for your review Ms. T*****. We have gone above and beyond to reach a resolution with you. The owner even met you in the cemetery to try and reach a resolve. However, you are demanding that we re-do your daughters's monument for free. This is not acceptable due to the fact that we finished your daughters's monument on August 26, 2020 and we then set it in the cemetery on August 27, 2020. Unfortunately, we cannot re-do a monument for free after you have waited over a year and a half to bring your complaint to our attention. The design layout, including the different fonts you mentioned in your review, were signed off by you giving us your approval to proceed with the monument completion. Therefore, if you had an issue with the font choices, why not discuss that during the design process? The $480 fee we are charging you is fair. It is less than 25% of the $2100 total cost that was paid. We are not trying to make any additional money. During the conversation the owner had with you and your own lawyer, it is interesting why you wouldn't take your own lawyers' advice and pay the small fee because it is FAIR!!!

    I paid more than 2100$, they took advantage of my weakness and if they send someone to look at it from BBB you'll agree it's a botched up job. It cost me over 2500$ and I have the receipt to prove it. Initially the said 270.00 and I was told by an undertaker the letters was done in different fonts. I will be seeking legal advice from my attorney Mr Austin A*****. Don't look at the hard copy the present look at the actual tombstone. The young man that did it was new and he told me he design and did the work. It's not good business to give bad business to a grieving mother that lost her child in such a frantic way and not want to correct.

    Unfortunately, we cannot upload a copy of the contract which confirms the $2184 total that was charged for the job and the fact that you were perfectly satisfied with the monument back in 2020 when it was completed and installed. Now, since one of your family members doesn't like the monument, you want us to remake the monument for free after you have waited almost 2 years to complain. This has nothing to do with us botching the job or taking advantage of you. We do occasionally remake stones for free when we have messed something up and it is brought to our attention immediately. However, I don't know of any business that would redo a job for free after the customer has waited almost 2 years to complain. You take care Ms. T*****.
