Mike Yates of Yates Buick GMC, a long-serving business leader and philanthropist, was unanimously chosen to receive this year’s award. In addition to supporting BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust as a BBB Accredited Business for almost 40 years, Mike’s involvement with Diamondbacks Charities, Make-A-Wish, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and his status as a founding member of West Valley Mavericks - a diverse set of individuals who aim to advance the communities in the West Valley through charity, community, culture, and commerce - makes him a true Luminary. Although Mike left us in 2020, his legacy as a community champion and his impact on West Valley families lives on. Tonight, we honor Mike Yates as our Luminary Award recipient.
