Diamond Awards for Excellence
Better Business Bureau Southeast Texas Foundation’s annual Diamond Awards for Excellence honor businesses that demonstrate excellence in the marketplace. Selection is made from a variety of applications from the Southeast Texas business community by a volunteer panel of judges. Nominations are helpful but not required to apply. The event is presented by the BBB Southeast Texas Foundation.
About the BBB Diamond Awards for Excellence
The BBB Diamond Awards for Excellence stand as our region’s flagship program, celebrating businesses that embody the highest principles of the Better Business Bureau and cultivate a culture of excellence:
Build Trust, Advertise Honestly, Tell the Truth, Be Transparent, Honor Promises, Be Responsive, Safeguard Privacy, and Embody Integrity.
Businesses must complete and submit an application for consideration. Applicants must review and ensure they are eligible based on the requirements below. Applications must be fully completed. Applications are reviewed and judged by an independent, volunteer, panel of judges.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, an organization must operate within Hardin, Jefferson, Liberty, Tyler, Orange, Jasper, Newton, Chambers Counties, or the Bolivar Peninsula.
Must be a For-Profit or 501(c)(6) organization in business at least three years. Government agencies are not eligible for consideration. Applicants for the Emerging Enterprise category must be in business less than three years.
Maintain current accreditation in good standing with the Better Business Bureau Southeast Texas.
All financial obligations must be met with Better Business Bureau Southeast Texas.
Applicants are not eligible if they have received the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics or Diamond Awards for Excellence in the past three years.
Diamond Awards for Excellence Categories
Mega Business (250+ employees)
Large (100 – 249 employees)
Medium (25 – 99 employees)
Small (5 – 24 employees)
Micro Small (1 – 4 employees)
Veteran Owned (51% or more ownership)
Minority Owned (51% or more ownership)
Emerging Enterprise formerly Spark Award - (51% of leadership team must be 35 years of age or younger and/or business must have been in operation for less than 3 years)
