Coffee and Connections: Money Mindset Mastery

Join us on July 16 from 1–6 p.m. for She Means Business presents Money Mindset Mastery, a practical event for women business owners looking to strengthen financial confidence and improve decision-making.

The afternoon opens with keynote speaker Jan Ryan (3Hills Group, The University of Texas at Austin), who shares decades of insight into how women step into—or hold back from—their financial power, drawing from both research and lived founder experience.

Next, Gay Gaddis, founder of T3 and author of Cowgirl Power, reflects on building one of the largest independent female-owned agencies in the country, followed by a candid conversation with Frost Bank on risk, confidence, and worth.

Attendees then rotate through 11 expert-led roundtables across two rounds, selecting topics such as pricing strategy, raising rates, funding readiness, and what banks look for when evaluating businesses. These sessions offer direct access to bankers, CFOs, CFPs, and experienced founders for practical, real-time guidance.

The program concludes with the Power of Better Business panel, moderated by Gay Gaddis, featuring leaders discussing The Confident Money Leader—a conversation also featured in the Austin Business Journal Women’s Issue.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees will gain practical insights on budgeting, pricing, and financial decision-making while connecting directly with financial professionals and building relationships with other women business leaders. The event wraps with a networking happy hour to continue conversations and strengthen connections.

Past Events

June 4 | Burnout-Proof Leadership

A morning spent helping women entrepreneurs, founders, and executives lead with more clarity, resilience, and sustainability.

Here's what attendees had to say:

“Yesterday I attended the Burnout-Proof Leadership for Women in Business event at Foundation for Better Business… and wow ! It was powerful. So much of what was shared were the things we don’t always talk about, or the things we quietly carry, thinking we’re the only ones going through it. The honesty, vulnerability, and normalization of those experiences created such a meaningful space for connection. Hearing from incredible women like Jessica Lovell, Colette Pierce Burnette, Ellen Lindsey, LCSW, Barbara Breier, and Kathy Kuras  was both inspiring and grounding. Each speaker brought authenticity to the stage in a way that truly resonated. What stood out most? ✨ Real conversations ✨ Genuine connection ✨ A reminder that we’re not alone.”

"This morning’s She Means Business event was a great reminder that leadership isn’t about how much we can carry. It’s about building the habits, support systems, and communities that allow us to lead sustainably.”

"FBB puts on valuable programming, education and support for small business owners."

March 6 | She Means Business Conference: Building a Buzzworthy Business

The year began with a one-day conference designed to set the tone for growth and leadership in 2026. Through keynote speakers, subject-matter experts, and practical sessions, members explored branding, visibility, customer connection, and leadership strategies that helped their businesses get noticed and remembered.

Here's what attendees had to say:

"This was the best single-day event that I've attended—great programming, great people. I wasn't aware of how much the Foundation does and so glad that I saw the post about it."

"Everyone was so kind and welcoming! I truly enjoyed myself. It was very engaging from beginning to end."

"You put together a really valuable and enjoyable event. I was impressed with the density of programming and the caliber of so many of the presenters. I hope you can expand your reach to more entrepreneurs so that more folks benefit."

"I think the event was fantastic. I asked most people I talked to if they planned to return for the next, and most said they did."
