Charity accreditation
BBB Charity Accreditation helps nonprofits demonstrate accountability through an independent review of governance, effectiveness, finances and fundraising practices.
BBB, N Colorado & Wyoming evaluates eligible charitable organizations against BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability. The free review program is designed for 501(c)(3) charities that solicit contributions from the public in Northern Colorado and Wyoming.
BBB Charity Review reports are available on Give.org – find your organization today!
The standards provide a practical framework for responsible nonprofit management and help donors make informed giving decisions. Each review examines four key areas:

Measuring effectiveness
Evaluate how the organization defines its mission, measures results and reports its progress.
Financial management
Examine financial reporting, budgeting practices and the responsible use of charitable resources.
Fundraising and informational materials
Review fundraising appeals and public communications for accuracy, transparency and appropriate disclosures.
