She shared very clear easy to follow advice on avoiding potential scams and the threat of identity theft. In today's world, people need the tools to avoid becoming victims. Josh Planos spoke at Catholic Charities St. Martin de Porres Center on more than one occasion, on a variety of topics, about the work of the Better Business Bureau. Josh's focus was on how seniors could recognize and protect themselves from scams. Josh also talked about the risk of identity theft as well. He shared with our seniors the various tools needed to prevent one’s self from becoming a victim. I would highly recommend that he be invited to share his message with other senior centers, or other organizations, that work closely with seniors. Josh's approach to the various topics were clear, so that everyone in the room could comprehend his message.

The Better Business Bureau is a valuable organization, and it is my hope that there is a BBB in every city. With scams against seniors and the general public on the rise, I am glad that we have an agency that we can call to address any concerns that we have. I am grateful that I can call Josh Planos when our seniors have questions.

As the manager of UBT Journey, our dedicated program for customers nearing or in retirement, I am thrilled to share our exceptional experience with Josh Planos from the Better Business Bureau. Josh recently delivered a virtual presentation titled “Smarter Fraud and Scam Awareness: Watching for Red Flags” to our group, and it was, without a doubt, the best session we’ve hosted on this critical topic.
