6th Annual Songwriters Night

Since 2017, BBB’s Songwriters Night has been an annual event that has united successful businesses to listen to gifted songwriters, eat delicious food, and participate in live and silent auctions to support small businesses throughout Middle TN and Southern KY. To date, the event has raised over $100,000, which funds community programs and provides grants to small businesses across the 45 counties served by BBB.

Danielle Breezy- Mistress of Ceremonies

Danielle Breezy joined News 2 as Chief Meteorologist in July 2016.

Her passion for weather started when she was a child. She grew up outside of Philadelphia and saw everything from blizzards to ice storms to tornadoes.

She pursued her dream by studying atmospheric science at Cornell University. Go Big Red! After that, it was stops in Salisbury, Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Boston before landing in Nashville.

Danielle has the CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) Seal, which is the highest seal a meteorologist can have, and currently is on the Chair of American Meteorological Society Board of Broadcast for 2022. 

In 2021, she was honored by the American Meteorological Society with the June Bacon-Bercey Award for Broadcast Meteorology for her life saving work covering the Middle Tennessee tornado outbreak in March 2020. She was also named one of Nashville Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2020.

Cory Batten

Cory Batten, originally from Tucson, Arizona, moved to Nashville in 2000, where he soon crossed paths with fellow songwriter Kent Blazy. The two joined forces on a publishing venture, and Cory quickly made a name for himself with his songwriting. His work has attracted attention from a range of artists, from bluegrass star Rhonda Vincent to the up-and-coming duo Love & Theft. 

Cory scored his first #1 hit with Blake Shelton’s “She Wouldn't Be Gone,” followed by another #1 hit, Chris Young’s “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” both in the same year. Cory’s momentum continues as he balances regular touring and songwriting with recording and producing his own artist project, which he is currently promoting on Music Row.

Leslie Satcher

To put it simply, Leslie Satcher, a native Texan, is a celebrated figure in Nashville's songwriting scene. She’s known for penning major hits like Martina McBride’s “When God Fearin’ Women Get The Blues,” George Strait’s “Troubadour,” and the duet “Politically Uncorrect” by Gretchen Wilson and Merle Haggard.

Leslie’s impressive songwriting credits include tracks recorded by an array of music legends such as Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Kellie Pickler, Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Sheila E., Ariana Grande, and many more.
