BBB of Southern Piedmont and Western NC is now collaborating with BrandStar, accredited business and the production company behind the Military Makeover program, to identify and connect BBB Accredited Businesses with home makeovers for veterans across our county.
Military Makeover is coming to our area July 12-21. All veterans and their families deserve our support and appreciation. Whether it’s a veteran and their loved ones, a wounded warrior or a newly relocated military family, this mini-series salutes those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, offering hope and a helping hand right there on the home front.
Working with Military Makeover, we will have the opportunity to show our appreciation by supporting a makeover for a local family.
BBB is now in the process of identifying the best businesses, in specific areas of need for the local makeover. Due to the excellence of your business, we believe you are the right business to ask to be part of the team that will transform this home in less than two weeks.
Here is what you need to know:
- Military Makeover has a budget for the project, but businesses volunteer their time and, to help every dollar go further, may also contribute goods to complete the project.
- The Military Makeover team has project managers and designers to oversee the project. BBB will connect you with the project managers to scope out the project and time requirements so you can decide if you are able to be part of this project.
- The project has a deadline, so work must be completed before the reveal shoot done on July 21. Businesses are asked to commit to making this project a priority for the designated period.
- Businesses making substantial contributions will appear in the credits. The episode will feature before, during and after video and some businesses working on the project may appear on the show, but there is no guarantee for any specific business.
- The businesses engaged in the project will be invited to attend the filming of the reveal for the family. This is a celebration of the family for their contribution to our country and, is another way for us to showcase the community spirit and pride that make these makeovers possible.
- The Military Makeover team will manage all logistics, permitting and other administrative functions to deliver the project on time and following all applicable regulatory requirements.
