Better Business Bureau® Serving Eastern Michigan & the Upper Peninsula started partnering with local Chambers of Commerce and other area organizations to create better growth opportunities for the businesses in each organization, with the end goal of driving more traffic to local businesses served by BBB and the partner organization.

About the Community Partnership

What is a BBB Community Partner?
A BBB Community Partner organization will work with BBB staff to promote and plan community events and presentations. BBB also works with Community Partners to share information.

In addition to being a resource for consumers and businesses, BBB also offers information online and in the form of presentations to businesses and the community.

Community Partner responsibilities for presentations and programs:

Work with BBB to come up with a date with an appropriate amount of lead time.
Assist with managing the following aspects of the event: invitations, venue, and other event promotion as determined by the Chamber of Commerce and BBB.
Each party has the right to cancel any presentation or program at any time.

Information sharing:

Share timely BBB information with membership and other organizations, giving BBB proper credit when reproducing or publishing it.
Both BBB and Chamber of Commerce reserve the right to have final editorial approval of any content.
When appropriate, BBB will submit content to Community Partner for publication. BBB will also accept content from Community Partner and will determine proper usage of the content (e-blast, web, newsletter, and/or social media).

Membership
Community Partners are listed as Better Business Bureau Accredited Businesses on our website, and BBB will become a member of the Community Partner organization.
