The 2026 Torch Awards for Ethics event has now taken place. Held on May 14 at the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford, New Hampshire, this year’s celebration honored businesses that exemplify Character, Culture, Customers, and Community in meaningful and inspiring ways.

BBB Serving New Hampshire extends its sincere thanks to all 2026 applicants, finalists, winners, event attendees, and our gracious venue host, Bedford Village Inn, for helping make this year’s event a memorable success.

The 4 C's of Torch Award winners

The BBB Torch Awards honors organizations whose leaders focus on the four C’s and measures: 

  • The Character of the organization’s leadership; 
  • If and how an authentic Culture is being fostered; 
  • The company’s transparent relationship with its Customers; 
  • And the impact the organization is making in the local Community

The application questions center around these four C's. Also, you can start the application and return later.

Eligibility criteria
  • Must have been in business for three years.
  • Not eligible if you've won a Torch Award in the past three years.
  • Do not have a current ad review or investigation.

Judging process
  • Entries evaluated by independent, voluntary panel of judges comprised of business and community leaders.
  • Submission, including examples, stories and documents, should provide robust and accurate depiction of your organization’s focus on character, culture, customers and community.
  • Read these Judges' Insights before you prepare your application.
