We can present one of our popular topics or prepare something of particular interest to your group that relates to BBB's work. BBB can also distribute free educational brochures pertaining to your topic of interest.
Some of BBB's most popular speaking topics include:
Scams targeting students: Heading off to university means figuring out a lot on your own, including how government agencies and organizations actually contact you. That learning curve is exactly what scammers count on. This session covers the top scams hitting students, how to spot them, and where to get help if something feels off.
Scams targeting seniors: Scammers target older adults because they're often seen as more trusting, and it costs victims billions every year. This program teaches you how to spot and avoid common scams, plus what to do if you or someone you know gets targeted.
Scams targeting Canadians: Scammers will try anything to get your money. Using data from our annual Canadian Risk Report, we'll break down the riskiest scams out there, how they work, and how to protect yourself.
Other popular topics that can be presented or combined with other topics include:
Building trust in business
Complaint and customer reviews best practices
Financial awareness & fraud prevention
Online safety & digital awareness
Additional topics are also available upon request.
Presentations usually last approximately 30-45 minutes and may be followed with a question and answer session. There is no charge for this service.
To arrange a presentation, please submit a request by contacting your local BBB at [email protected]
