    On 4/9/24, (3:34 PM, CST) I called (732) 440-8807, the customer service line for Unified Health/Multiplan, to cancel my insurance plan because I purchased other insurance. The first representative I spoke to stated she would place a “Cancellation Request” on my account, but I would need to speak to a customer service representative to finalize cancellation of the plan and transferred me to ****** who asked why I wanted to cancel the plan. I explained that I was not happy with the coverage after attempting to use the benefits. He demanded to know what hospital I went to. I told him I did not want to see how this was relevant. He said unless I discussed this, he would not cancel my plan. I ended the call and attempted the call again at 3:46PM, CST. Again, I spoke to a first level rep who stated he would enter the “Cancellation Request” as he did not see the original one. Immediately, at 3:50PM, I received an email “Cancellation Request Received”. I was then transferred to another customer service representative who again asked why I was cancelling my plan. I let him know I am no longer interested in the plan. He stated “You will have to talk about it. This is your health insurance and it’s not like returning a t-shirt”. As with the other representative, when I refused to provide information about my new insurance carrier, he became increasingly argumentative, threatening and refused to cancel the plan. I again ended the call. Afterwards, I realized they fraudulently drafted my card for the equivalent of one months premium. I had been with this company since January 2023 and my premium was never drafted on the 10th of the month, but always on the 12th. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank as a result of this charge. On 4/10/2024 (3:46PM, CST), I received a call from the “Customer Service Department” ************** and the representative stated he was aware I wanted to cancel my plan and demanded to know why I made the decision. I told him I was not willing to discuss this further. The representative said I would need to give an explanation or my plan would not be cancelled. I told him this was harassment at this point.

    I spoke to a liar named Ashley about medical coverage. She went through her scripted nonsense about the garbage product this POS company offered. I asked plenty of questions to which she had answer for but little did I know she was full of crap. TO my last question about what was covered her response was and I quote, "If you're not looking to have a baby, a sex change or treat addiction, you are covered." I ended up in the emergency room with urine retention. Turns out it was bladder cancer. Not only did the hospital (which appeared in the network) not accept the insurance, they didn't tell me they didn't. I started receiving bills and am not buried under thousands of dollars of medical expenses because the plan didn't cover anything. Has the BBB looked into this company yet? I see there are a lot of people who had the same experience with these thieves as I did. I am all for a class action lawsuit to shut this farce of a company down. The sooner the better before they take advantage of anyone else. I am seeking a full refund of all dollars and then some! Let's SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN!
