Backgound I bought some carpet in 2023 from NFM (see receipt) and they sold us the insurance of SquareTrade to cover stains (see attachment 1 from coverage from NFM ads and another terms from their policy).Some months ago (Proably April 24) dust accidently fell down from the ** vent to the carpet (some guys where cleaning the ** ducts) and carpet of 1 room got Stained (see photo). So, I filed a claim to SquareTrade in about 2 weeks.Reasons - Why I said they are BAD?1. Horrible claim process: The phone service asked me to go to claim online and their website told me to call. Back and forth, back and forth. you must file the claim online, and you have to call this number instead (See attachment). First, they were not able to locate the purchase, later they were not able locate the claim case (see attachment), after that they were not able to find the material uploaded even though the system email did confirm that the material has been received. It felt like they purposely try wear down your patience. Yet they claim it is Easy online claims. (see attachment). 2. your claim is too late after about 2 months of back and forth between the online claim process and the phone cliam, they finallly begain to address the claim, but just told me that my claim was too late. Only after I showed them the written record from 2 monthes ago, them began to acknowledge it was their system fault.3. We will come back to you. But NEVER came back though verbally promised at least 2 times. First they promised to send to me the terms. I waited 1-2 month. Nothing happened. So, I called them again last week, I waited over the phone for them to email the terms and conditions. After reading the terms, I expressed my dispute, they said someone would come back to me within 1-2 days. No one came back. That is why I decide to post this.Either they have horrible management, or evil intention. Or both.Review from Peter V

Worst company ever, they told me to get my washer repaired and they would reimburse back the money I paid, I sent them both my invoice and repair mans invoice because I knew they were going to come up with some excuse no to reimburse me back the money. I am still trying to get my reimbursement but no luck yet. This is not righting they should not be in business anymore, taking peoples money and when you file a claim they don't reimburse you back. Purchased Allstate Protection Plan from **********. The appliance purchased was a GE Washer top load. After 18 mos., the washer would not spin. I called Allstate to file a claim (Sat Aug 23), they assisted in troubleshooting the washer and walked me through some steps to diagnose the problem. Allstate representative ended up approving the claim and he selected the appliance repair company. He scheduled the appointment. He informed me that they handle the parts as well. He ordered the parts and did not give details of what parts he ordered. He just said I would get an email with the tracking information to track parts. He also sent an email with appointment tracking and information about the appliance repair company. I received the emails; the repair appointment and parts were scheduled for the same day,. The day of the job repair technician arrived in a car, no indication he was from a company, no company shirt etc. he walked into the laundry room and took photos, immediately he asked where the parts were. We explained parts were still not delivered until later that day. He saiid, well there is nothing I can do and left. I called Allstate back to book another appointment and they denied. They sent me an email with the following: "After review, it was determined your appliance is being used in a place of business. The terms and conditions for the warranty purchased do not cover commercial or business use for the appliances at any time. We are unable to proceed with the claim for the appliance."The technician lied to Allstate. I did not get my washer worked on AT ALL. I called the technician back the next day to ask why Allstate denied it. He said I can't work on the washer there are multi-families living there. I was angry and told him he was delusional what are you talking about. He said we have a piece of paper hanging on wall next to washer with instructions on how to use washer, to him that indicated the washer was being used as a business. Crazy!!Review from Natasha B

Bought a premium 5 year furniture protection plan for a futon in 2022, this futon now has 3 broken legs and Im unable to file a claim online OR over the phone. While on the phone they mentioned that if Im ever able to submit the claim, they will only cover two of the legs instead of all three (although the whole futon should still be eligible for protection plan until 2027) due to a claim that was filed in 2023. Ill be lucky if Im ever able to submit a claim. This protection plan is a scam, do not waste your money!Review from Doreen R

Filed claim on my adjustable bed to Square Trade, stopped working and I filed it the next day. Mentioned it stopped and started working around Jan, since it started working I didn't file a claim at that time. Figured it was alright. Now that I mentioned this to them and it stopped working they denied my claim. Will refund be $199 when I paid over $2000 for the coverage. If this is how Allstate handles claims I will be moving my auto, home and umbrella policies.Review from Azi P

I purchased the laundry and dryer GE fro ********** and they sold us three years warranty from Allstate.OMG such a nightmare scheduling with this people and took for ever on the phone. when they sent somebody he was impolite and rude and lazy didn't even take a look of the dryer which 2 years ago we purchased and he stated this is not our problem. Anyhow I called company and I asked for refunding my money back and I canceled all my warranty with Allstate. Never and ever again. Please do not purchaser from Allstate warranty and go through your brand appliances after you purchased them and will help you voluntarily. Allstate is very bad insuranceReview from Daniel J

I recently had a phone repaired through allstate. The phone got repaired and shipped back in a timely manner HOWEVER, I called customer service to try and get reimbursed for the packaging material costs and they gave me the run around. I went online and the chat agent said file a new claim online. I tried to file a new claim online and it said I need to call a "specialist". I called the number provided and after a seemingly endless teleprompter chasm I got a human on the phone. I don't know what country that woman was from but her English was terrible. On top of that she was being extremely passive aggressive and speaking gibberish trying to get a reaction out of me. Finally she made me spell my name which is very common and not hard to spell. She was very rude, abrasive, and unprofessional. Two thumbs down...Review from Anne P

Purchased 5 year coverage from Allstate ************ Protection Plan for $500 for washing machine in 2021. Filed claim 7/11/24 and have yet to receive a confirmation for warranty repair date on 8/5/24. I have called weekly and they continue to re-file the claim and I have now received parts. Technician is unresponsive to text and voicemail full.This is truly the WORST customer service I have encountered and would advise anyone not to purchase any insurance from Allstate. They are completely incompetent and unsympathetic to my plea for help. Wasted money!!!!Review from Thomas B

The company I am commenting on is the Allstate insurance company associated with American Home Shield responsible for the home electronic coverage. After paying on this insurance for a long time, I finally needed to file a claim and was told that the only way my claim could be paid was if I provided the receipt for a purchase made 2 1/2 years later and would only allow the claim with that condition. only. The reps were not rude, but unhelpful as well as the company, When asked what TV receipts they had and none was the answer, So much for companies who use these tactics to make sure they do not need to assist their customers!
