We understand that our recent interactions about the charges for your stay was frustrating. Conversations like that are hard for everyone involved. Hopefully, thanks to this review, we were able to bring that to a close. As far as being scammed, I think its important to recognize that everyone has their own wants and needs. Generally speaking, our VIP clients are the happiest of all of our clients and typically its our standard program clients that feel like we do too much for the VIP clients. As they say, you can't please everyone all the time but we still try.Review from Tomasa Y

This company is the worst ever. Last year we booked two places in Florida a week before we were due to go they call that were exterminating the two condos. Plan with Tan refused to refund the money. One gentleman in our party , had COPD would have been lethal for him. Just recently I received an invoice for $ 259.92 which I received 3 days before it was due. Mailed it in right away . They cashed the check. No further notice was received. I kept getting e-mails that I owed money. I finally reached someone at the company that my payment was received late and now there is an $8.00 late charge . Oh and by the way the price is over $400. now so you owe and additional $165. I told I wanted to cancel , I was told it would take 30 days . So that they could keep the $259.92 for the last 24 days? This Company must be in bad shape!Review from Jennifer E

We bought into TAN several years ago. We have a contract for a $99.00 renewal fee. This year I got an invoice for $425.00. That's a 329% increase! I called and once they called back and had "looked at my contract" they told me my new rate would be $138.60, because "they can raise the rate by 5% per my contract". I have my contract and it doesn't say that anywhere, plus 5% of $99.00 would make the total $103.95. So, at $138.60 that is still a 40% increase. We honestly haven't even used TAN one time. It is a total waste of money for us. I have looked several times and nothing is available where we are wanting to go. They refused to send me a "signed contract" to show me where I signed with the "increase noted", unless I paid a $15.00 fee. Then they wanted me to send them a copy of my contract that I have. Now they are saying that what I have isn't the entire contract, but yet they won't prove that I signed something else (without me paying for it). The whole things seems very, very shady.Review from Diana M

Our monthly payment jumped from $20 to $35. last month that's crazy high. I was told it because of HOA fees and such. I'm sorry but this is almost double the cost. Not Happy with this...We have had mostly good vacations, but a couple were not clean but I didn't complain, the only complaint I made was our trip to ocean city where we rented 2 units and had bed bugs in one and ended up having to put all of us in 1 unit because they had only a roach infested unit down the road left and there was no way we were staying there, as well as throw out our port a crib and luggage, they did reimburse us for the 1 unit that was infested. but I also am having issue finding places to go to that are available. and now this price increase. I understand raising it a little but this isn't a little.Travel Advantage Network, Inc. Response

unholy scam - my contact states a 5% maximum increase in maintenance cost each year - THEY DO NOT HONOR THAT PART OF CONTRACT - frauds all through out the company - they said the provided a "bigger" discount last year , no records of a bigger discount for paying a year in advance the previous year just the invoice pain - then this year it went from $371 up to $409 - which is much higher than the 5% allowed at maximum according to our contract - but they said they would put me into a debt collector for $456 if I didn't pay over the phone at that exact moment - stay awayTravel Advantage Network, Inc. This is an unfortunate review that is filled with misinformation. This consumer repeatedly screamed and cussed at the agent on the phone while she was trying to explain - a 25 minute call and the third call in 7 days. Each year, this consumer has taken advantage of a discounted promotion for the service charge effectively saving money from the actual balance due. We applied the 5% increase to the base rate exactly as prescribed in the agreement. Our agent never mentioned a debt collector - to the contrary, this consumer is the one that mentioned that as the next step. We aren't a scam. We've never been a scam. We added an increase exactly in line with the agreement and this is the first time in years that we have passed any increases on to our client base.Review from Brian W

Not a good vacation package to buy. Whenever you want to go there's not much available. And it's very difficult to deal with them. I paid lots and lots of money for these and still can't find the area that I want to go when I want to go. Everything is always booked and not availableTravel Advantage Network, Inc. Response

My husband and I paid off our plan years ago and weren't able to use our vacation plan until 2022. Our 1st vacation was on Hilton Head Island and the condo was falling apart, decorated with 1980's furniture, carpet covered uneven flooring, appliances outdated, and parking was hard to get. August 2023 we were able to book at *** ** *** **** in Florida and when we showed up, we paid additional fees for parking pass, pool, and beach. We were told we could use the chairs on the beach as long as we had our bracelet passes. An unknown guy on the beach told us we had to reserve chairs on the beach for $40 a day by room. Our room *** was dirty, springs in the bed poked through, half a roll of toilet paper and two uses of hand soap in the bathroom. No extra towels, dishes were dirty in the dishwasher never ran, no batteries in tv remote, and both elevators were broke for most of a day. Climbing up seven flights of stairs with bad knees caused swelling and pain. I had my husband and younger son with me for this vacation and we spent every day either on the beach, pool, game room, pool patio, shopping, at the movies, out to dinner, played putt putt golf, and more to avoid the room we were given and the construction in room 719 next to us. We were booked from 8/26/23 - 9/2/23 and we decided to leave early on 9/1/23. On 9/2/23 already home, we received a call from TAN that management accused us of having a dog in the unit. We never had a dog in the unit. We told them to check their cameras and it would prove that we never had a dog in the unit. They want to charge us $250 for pet in unit. We told two different TAN employees over the phone that we are not paying for something that we didn't do. On 9/8/23, we received an invoice for $150 for a pet in unit - excessive cleaning fee. We're completely dissatisfied with TAN and feel they false advertise and are a scam. We're currently trying to cancel our contract with them. Not worth the money or headache. Highly NOT recommended!Travel Advantage Network, Inc. Response

Customer service is and has been important to us. We understand that this consumer is upset about the pet fee and has now expressed dissatisfaction with other aspects that we hadn't heard before. After looking at the survey from the ****** **** vacation referenced, there is a big disparity between the sentiments in this review and those on the survey that was competed just a few days after the vacation. We cannot speak to the unknown guy on the beach unfortunately. Regarding the pet fee rate, the presence of a dog was reported to us by two separate and unrelated entities. Ultimately, based on the pictures from the cleaning company and the fee that they charged us, we passed that charge onto the consumer.Review from Donna P

My sister-law let us use a week with TAN in Ocean City, MD. The unit we stayed in was just pure FILTH. We got there and the room wasn't even cleaned yet. Finally, they arrived and, only stayed 15 minutes to clean. It really didn't matter though because it was just a total dumb. I actually had to sanitize after they left. Couches were stained and old. The rugs were never shampooed (filthy) The next day, we all started getting sick. Everything is outdated especially the patio furniture outside which was also stained and rusty. Also, the faucet to the tub was so full of mold and mildew, that it wouldn't turn. We had to call TAN to have a plumber replace it. We took plenty of pictures to show my sister in law. She will be calling them. Hopefully, they will give her the week back.Travel Advantage Network, Inc. Response

This is an unfortunate review from an authorized user on an account. We have processes and teams in place that could have and would have addressed these issues had we been given the chance. We've been in contact with the account owner and will ensure that we address their concerns directly.Review from Jerry J

Members since 1995 and have renewed 3 times. Unfortunately due to our age we will not be purchasing another package. Over the years we have been places and seen things we never thought we would. We’re using excess inventory now to continue to travel as long as we are able. I’ve read some of the posts and understand that some people are upset because they can’t find THE place they want to go AT THE TIME they want to go. Unfortunately that happens when more people are wanting to go to the same place at the same time. We found that if you want to go to a certain place you need to plan ahead and find an opening and then schedule your vacation to fit that time frame. We have been from Cape Cod to Maui and Cancun to Las Vegas and hopefully our health will allow us to travel more. Thank you TAN for giving us the opportunity to travel.Travel Advantage Network, Inc.
