I dined in on 6/27/22 for a party of one and was very disappointed. I've had mixed experiences when I attend this particular restaurant. Tonight as I began to pick crabs, my daughter FaceTimed me from camp. As we bagan to talk, the waiter came up to me and said her boss stated I need to either get headphones or pick up the call. I disconnected the call in shock as I was seated in the bar area and there was loud music playing. After I hung up the call, I immediately located the Manager. He came to my table after 15-20 mins and I shared that there was no sign indicating that you can't talk on the phone by speaker. I wasn't yelling nor speaking in any offensive way. It was a quick call. He said that was there policy as they wanted guests to enjoy the music. I mentioned that the policy seems selective as there is no sign and seems like an very odd request. He said sometimes people play music or loud. Again that seems very odd as I mentioned there is no sign and a quick call. I don't want to rush to judgement, but it seems that I was singled out based on my appearance. I didn't want to cause a even bigger scene so I continued my meal, paid and left. I have shared this humiliating experience with Management who supported the action.
