To all campers out there I would not deal with Chesaco RV. They will really treat you bad and try to take advantage of us hard working campers out here. They tell you one thing and do something different. They just tell you what you want to hear. I have had a really bad experience with Chesaco RV so I am just trying to save other loving campers time and money. I dealt with a salesman from Hamburg Pa. I also have been dealing with their supposed to be the #1 guy for the company.He acts like he is scared tells you things to blame it on someone else. I hope you guys can sleep good at night.If I treated someone like Chesaco RV treats us loving campers,I diffidently would not be able to sleep at night. So all you loving campers out there pass this word on to your friends to stay away from Chesaco RV.Review from Dawn B

Bought a RV in July 2023, we have some issues with the vehicle. Learned after purchasing this RV that Chesaco, does not tell you that they do not work on certain compoments of the RV, and they cannot tell you who you can take it to, was told to ****** for the information. If I had know that the take your money and leave you to find out who needs to take care of the RV, I would never had bought it. Chesaco is not upfront with the information about any of their RV that they sell. Have called several times to talk to the Manager, he tells me it is not his problem, I need to Google it. they are crooks at head quarters - we did welding work for them and they cut the check to the wrong name- when asked to fix it they refused and accused me of operating illegally as a business. Tiffani ******* is a nasty person and claimed to be an owner - she is not - she had zero business ethics and should find a job in a dark closet where she doesnt have to deal with people over the phoneReview from Tina D

My RV needed body work and an awning due to a tornado in July 2022. We called Chesaco RV they ordered the awning and we left a check in the amount of $3800.00 After calling several times, leaving several messages or being place on hold until the line clicked off. I visited Chesaco RV in March 2023 I was told the awning was on back order (Since July 2022 ??)This was their answer until April 2023 when I had to visit again because no one would answer the phone. I was told the service manager was terminated because they were giving the customers "Lip Service" I was told the awning was never ordered in July 2022 it was ordered in March 2023, and they do not know where the check is. Chesaco stated the estimated delivery date for the awning is May 11th , however the parts girl is off on Thursday she will give you a call on Friday (May 12) to let you know if it arrived. Yes, I had to call Chesaco on Friday because NO ONE called. 3 times placed on hold until the phone clicked off. The manager was laughing on the phone because I said this is completely ridiculous what I need to do to get an HONEST answer. Chesaco RV Pulaski HWY is a complete shit show. Bought new rv in 2021 first time use in 2022 the water pump leaked repaired that with my own money then water heater started leaking. Got home from trip and tried calling. Every time was told person had off that day no matter what day of the week I called. Fiancé finally talked to someone In sept 22 and was told to drop it off on October 24 22. I got there to drop rv off and no one was there they had training that day and the person that was there had no idea I was dropping it off. It still is there now march 23 and still hasn’t been repaired or even checked outReview from Damion T

I initially had a fairly decent experience with the Chesaco Motors in Joppa, MD. when i purchased my new 2022 RV. However, after I arrived home, about two hours away, I discovered a problem with my plumbing system. My pipes were not fully connected and caused a major leak. I contacted the dealership for service and was told i would have to make the two hour trip again to have them look at the camper. As this trip is costly and timely, i asked that they provide some credit, reimbursement, travel discount or something to offset the major inconvenience as I have only had the new RV for 2 months. The pipes should have been properly and fully inspected before the sell. Nonetheless, I spoke with my original sales manager "Richard" who was very sympathetic and professional as we discussed the problem may be a simple seal and wondered if it could be shipped for my direct installation. This would save me travel cost and less inconvenience. He then transferred me to a Service Advisor "Denise" who was totally unprofessional. This person told me there would be no option provided to me besides making a two hour trip with the entire camper in order to receive assistance. She advised no reimbursement, credit or any sort of accommodation would be considered. When i expressed my disappointment and frustration, she rudely hung the phone up in my face. This person "Denise" should not work with people, has no customer care experience, is absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. I would never want to do business with her as a service provider. I left a message for the GM to call me about me customer service experience and sadly never received a call back.Review from Thomas H

Lies and deception!!!! We purchased an RV from them at a camper show. We signed a purchase contract and a finance contract and we're advised we would be contacted shortly after the end of the show but we never were. We called several times were not able to speak to anyone and had to leave a message every time. We eventually received a voicemail but the phone number that was given was for a fax machine. Over the next 3 weeks we called everyday but we're never able to speak to anyone and NEVER received a callback. We finally called and demanded a manager and eventually were able to speak to one. He told us that a couple days after the show their bank "changed their terms" and they will not give us a loan even though we already signed a contract. Clearly because they were no longer getting money from us they couldn't be bothered with us. We are still waiting for our deposit back that they had no problem taking from us. They advertise a family company but this is not how you treat family.Chesaco Motors, Inc. Response

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the financing the bank offered you. We are unable to discuss these items on a public forum, but every effort was made to get you the best financing available for your purchase. While we would like to make every deal, the lenders set the term and rate based on their evaluation of your credit. Your deposit was refunded immediately after you told our finance department that you were unhappy with the rate the bank was charging you.

Another lie!! We did not tell you we were unhappy with the rate the bank was charging us. We signed a contract with you fully knowing the bank rate that was offered. Several days after this your company decided to back out of the contract and never told us and it took us apps a month to find this out. Warning!Do not buy anything form Chesaco.They have had our unit for 11 months in their service depart.We have been lied to and excuses have been made over and over again. The entire story is too long to share but for 7 months we were told they were waiting on parts to find out that no parts had every been ordered.The employee turnover is horrible and everytime a Service Tech, Service Mgr and General Mgr would leave a new one would come in and have no idea about our unit so we would have to explain everything over from the start.We had a facetime call after 7 mths with the General mgr (only after escalation to Corp. where he tried to defend his co. and had no sympathy for our situation!) He assured us everything would be taken care of well 4 months later our unit is still there.After finally getting hold of the Service mgr. that does not return messages left for him by their customer service line employees says that our furnace was not part of a recall that we had been told for the past 4 mths had been part of and that they were waiting on a part to come in.Only to say did we want them to take care of a mice nest that was in the furnace.Serv. Mgr. and had addressed the mouse nest early on and told us it would be removed and the issues would be addressed with the furnace to get it back in working order. Replacing the Trim inside due to water damage was part of the initial insurance claim work and I was just called after 11 mths telling me they no longer make the trim in our color and that he could order a similar color however it is on backorder and wanted to know if we could install it ourselves once & that they couldn't deliver directly to the cust. he would call us when it came in to pick up. Did I mention the dealership is 2 hours from our home.There has been multiple other issues with our unit repair however it would take more room then is avail. to explain it all. We are beyond frustrated and will never use their services after we get our unit back from repair.Chesaco Motors, Inc. Response

I am sorry that Mr. and Mrs. ***** felt like they had a bad experience with the repairs on their damaged RV. Insurance claims on RVs with extensive water damage have been especially difficult during the COVID pandemic we have all been experiencing. Manufacturers are typically slow during the best of times, but recently waiting times have been extended four fold. Many trim and cabinetry pieces are not available after a couple of model years, so matching damaged cabinetry and paneling is next to impossible. The manufactures provide us the best match available at the time. Every effort was made to expedite parts. However not being the manufacturer, these shortages are not in our control. There were many items in addition to the water damage that had to be addressed. All Items have been completed for some time and we are awaiting Mr. and Mrs. ***** to come and pick up their completed travel trailer.Customer Response

We were just called one week ago and was told our travel trailer was ready however we have not picked it up because you are telling us we owe money for the insurance claim repairs that should have been submitted to the insurance company on a supplemental request since the initial estimate was not completed correctly . The service manager said he could not release the unit to us until it was pay in full and we are not paying for the insurance claims work when it should be paid for by the insurance company because your company did not submit it correctly during the initial estimate since they submitted the costs as 700.00 and it ended up being 2,200.00 clearly the initial estimate was not thorough. Which I brought to the initial tech on multiple occasions. . Don't make this sound like we are delaying in picking it up!! And we were told for 7 months parts were ordered when they weren't so you can't blame the delay on parts on Covid when they were never ordered!! Per your own service technician no parts we even ordered til November after having the camper since May. You can make as many excuses and try to turn this around on us but you know that Chesaco doesn't want to take any responsibility for your actions and that is what upsets us the most. We understand if this would have actually been a delay in parts but that was not the case the parts we not ordered for 7 months after taking possession of the unit and your customer service is horrible!! We will be picking up our unit as soon as you get the charges straightened out with the insurance company believe me we don't want it sitting there any longer than necessary since we have not been able to use our camper for 11 months. Stop making excuses and start taking responsibility for you business ethics!!! Your turn around in employees should be an indication that you have issues and they are not willing to stay because they don't want to have to deal with all the upset customers and with all the negative reviews on the BBB site it clearly shows you have issues that need resolved because not everyone is in the ring like you try to play it off!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing from Chesaco. And maybe you should advise you corporate contact and your general manager to respond to e-mails complaints or at the least give your customer the courtesy of a phone call when they are reaching out to them for resolution ! All we ever wanted was the truth and all we ever got was a bunch of excuses! Order a camper and they said it will be ready in 6 months . 9 months later no camper so I canceled and went to get my 2000 deposit back. 1000 cash and 1000 credit. however they will only give me my 1000 credit back because they have no record of me giving 1000 cash to them even though I have a RECEIPT that says u gave them 2000!!!. THEY took my 1000 cash because of their poor record keeping I got cheated of 1000. Iam not accusing them of theif just poor record keeping stay away from chesaco rvReview from Chris D

We bought a 2021 ******** HW 296 here in July. We picked it up and noticed a few items missing (hanging pantry, hanging wardrobe, one of the hanging lights and a cap to the sewer hose holder. We were told that it could take some time to get them to us due to the way the world is now. Fair enough. I underrated the global supply chain issues. We also noticed that our awning was had misplaced supports that the arms extend into and made Chesaco aware. We sent an email recapping the issues and heard back that they would update us. We never heard back again. We have made multiple calls and emails and did not get a response. We contacted ******** and they worked to finds an additional contact and have after speaking with the new Chesaco contact I felt that I at least had someone that could help. I was wrong. It has been 2 additional weeks and no one has returned my calls or emails again. The service was good up until we gave them our money and wanted follow up. I would not recommend Chesaco due to their lack of follow up and communication.
