I've called Rob's Truck and Auto Repair about a transmission problem on my truck. He said he might be able to repair it. I took in and it turned out it needed a new one. I authorized a transmission and cooler and gave him 6000$ for parts for the estimate of 7800$. I picked truck up 6-6-24 and bill was 8813.82. It turned out they replaced the radiator without my authorization, permission and knowledge. I did not realize this yet. I drove from there to my storage (***** ** *******) 10 miles and truck was cutting out at 50mph. Left storage and went right back to Rob's truck was still cutting out and "wrench" symbol showed on dash. Rob hooked up his diagnostic tool and got 3 codes , told the problem had nothing to do with him and left. Never checked the truck. Drove home and called my usual shop North Point Auto and made appointment for 6-20-24. I needed fuel to make it up to North Point so I got fuel and coming back the truck started missing and smoking and quit. I crawled under it and bottom radiator hose did not look right , in hindsight I don't think it was connected to motor. Towed it home ,called Rob and told what happened and told him about the lower radiator hose. He said bring over and they would help me out. It would start and run when we got it off the tow truck at Rob's but when he called me it was in his shop and the motor was locked up. I had to tow it back home. They said a hose clamp on a little hose up top broke causing the coolant loss. I crawled under it and the lower hose was routed correctly and connected to motor. He charged me 211.22$ to cover his tracks and lock up my motor. This guy had *********** ** ****** ****** fire trucks in his shop so I thought he was a decent man. He even told me had their contract to lure me in.
