They sold me a car knowing of a problem with the oil light coming on then don't want to fix it. I'm 2 hours away and they want me to travel back there but told me they won't pay for it because its not part of the warranty which would only cover what Maryland state inspection covers. I was never explained the warranty process at all. This was only a week after I purchased the car. Very poor customer service and management. I do not recommend this place.Review from Ronald B.

I had a state inspection done their in December 2023. I was given a 5800.00 bill for the car to pass inspection. 180.00x18hrs labor. It did not add up. I had another place look at it. They agreed with what the car needed to pass inspection but only would charge for a few hours work. Bob Bell is a rip off.Review from Ben S

I bought a used car from bob bell a few weeks ago and had issues with the fuel gauge from the moment I left the parking lot. I called my salesman and reported the issue the same night. After finally having a day off to bring it in for service they said they wouldn’t cover the repair. After waiting for several hours for the manager Jason to return my call he stated that he didn’t know anything about my issue until now and that the repair was my problem. He told me he was trying to not be irate with me even though I was having a civil conversation with him. He then decided to hang up on me. Between my family and business we have purchased 7 vehicles from this company in the last 3 years alone. I could not be more disappointed in this dealership in the way this was handled and the lack of professionalism from the sales manager Jason. I will never do business with them going forward. If you are looking for a used car buyer beware…Review from Robin S

I had new tires put on the front of my Kia Forte. Today my ex husband was putting new brakes on. He found that the service man put lock tight on the wheel nuts causing them to break off. Therefore, I had to buy new wheel studs. If my car would have had a flat on the highway, my car would have had to been towed. I took a picture and am going there tomorrow 9/22/23Review from Suoinoleht H

They sold me a car. I came back within 3 days told them I was uncomfortable and I didn't feel safe driving it. I either wanted my trade back or to put me in something different. They told me i couldn't do that. I went back a couple of days later cause they stopped taking my calls and spoke to the GM Paula and she was suppose to try to fix the situation and give me my trade back. I went to meet with her Monday and she didn't have an answer and told me to call her. I called and left a message and have not heard from her. So they have my trade and the car they"sold" me and I didn't get anything back not even my deposit. Not sure what all to do at this moment. I had to go to a different dealership just so I could get a vehicle.Review from Umesh R

Bought my Nissan here serviced everytime here since 2013. Left my key with the dealer for service. Came back and found out windshield is cracked when they returned my key. Talked with them and the manager at service. They deny fixing the cracked. I didn’t want to interrupt their business and kindly asked again and again because it wasn’t cracked until I gave my key in their possession. They denied my kind request. I’m very unhappy how they are dealing with me about their fault. Still waiting the managers call as he said he will call me after reviewing footage on the camera.Review from Mayank D

I've visited Bob Bell Chevrolet for many years for oil change, tires and all repairs. Back in January 2021 I've noticed oil leak from the car-Chevy Malibu 2010, and when visited Bob Bell Chevrolet for regular oil change mentioned it and asked Bob Bell to check it for the leak They told me that there is no leak and the car is in perfect conditions. But leak was there and when I put a paper on the garage floor it was soaked by oil almost immediately. Then Ive visited Bob Bel and was told-there is no leak, drive safely. I wrote a negative review on ****** and manager responded asking to contact, which I did with no result. When time came for oil change I've visited Bob Bell and insisted to look closely at oil leaks and other problems car may have. I was told that evetything is OK, there is no leak, breaks, suspensions and other things are OK. They said if I notice low oil level on the stick, then I can come and they add the oil. I checked it almost every day-the oil still leaked-on garage floor, and on October 6, 2021, just 5 weeks after visiting Bob Bell I've noticed low oil level. I came to Bob Bell and they told me that ...there is leak from radiator and car was not save to drive and they need time to diagnose and will contact me-their shuttle took me back home. Then I got a call they mentioned they need to perform major repair of radiator and they found a leak of coolant. Nothing more I was told about over the phone . When on October 8, 2021 their shuttle brought me back to the dealership the repair price was $2882.00. When I checked the invoice I've noticed that plus to radiator major repair of $1157.35 they replaced all brakes - not even mentioned before, brake flush-not mentioned neither,- $$146+$174 and other things not mentioned. I believe if they did repair back in January or later - even in August, the price should be mush less. Therefore, I see that as a bad business practice when they intentionally do not take any action while see a problem, but waiting until it becomes so bad that they can charge much more for major repair and add to that whatever they could in order to inflate the price. It is not only disguising business practice but it put safety of driver and passengers - in my case it is two kids on board who I am driving to school and childcare. Also, it is breaking the rules of engagement with auto repair, when a customer should be informed and signed on the repairs planned. I am planning to dispute the transaction.Review from Justin W

My initial review to anyone considering a purchase from this dealer is run the other direction. They are absolutely incompetent at the administration functions of lease buyouts. I sat across the desk from the finance manager at this dealer the day the lease buy back occurred and asked specifically if I needed to pay sales tax on my vehicle. Without even looking I was told no it was paid for at the beginning of the lease. Had she looked, I would have rolled that into the loan. Instead a few weeks later I am told I do in fact need to pay almost $2000 after the financing has already been approved.
It is one thing to miss something, but when the customer specifically asks the question...look into the answer! Between this sales department and other service departments at Ford I do not think I am going to buy another Ford which is a shame because my old Chevy was going to be replaced by a F150. At this point I would rather tow less weight than deal with people that do not know how to do their job right the first time.
