            I stayed at the Quality Inn in Trussville, Alabama on 7/20/2021 on my way home to New Orleans, LA from Washington, DC. I arrived at the hotel and checked in and was given a handicapped assessable room. Upon going into my room I noticed that it was FILTHY and smelled of urine. I alerted the front desk and they made a comment about how sometimes handicapped people have accidents. They then switched me to another room to that was equally as bad. The second room was labeled as non-smoking but smelled like an ashtray, the comforter and upholstery on the chair were stained and had cigarette burn holes, the pillows were dirty, the dust ruffle had some white substance on it, the lamp shades were stained, the headboard had some white stuff on it, and the shower curtain was dirty. Had I not just driven 11 hours I would have stayed someplace else. It was late so I called the main complaint line for the hotel and made a formal complaint. Photos were included. I would like a refund.

            False advertisement. The room in the example is nothing like the real room. Not even close. Broken lamps, mildew, water leaking on the floor from the fridge, dirty sheets, bad odor. We reserved a new hotel and tried to get a refund and the manager told us he couldn't do it and that we would have to come back the next morning and talk to the day manager. We came back and they told us that we couldn't get a refund because we didn't check out within 15 minutes(which was a lie) and attempted to accuse us of spending the night( which we didnt). We fought with them for 30 minutes before giving up and calling corporate. They then proceeded to lie to corporate and try to paint us as trouble makers. So horrible rooms and the staff are both liars and thieves. Avoid at all costs. They will steal your money and lie to you.
