    I have acupuncture benefits with my plan and they refuse to pay the bills from August of last year until now. They have paid some but not all claiming there was no proof other pain management failed before this. I have submitted this information multiple times and so has the provider. My provider submits it with each claim now and they still have every thing in a pending status for months and refuse to give me updates and pay them. This held up my care for months leaving me in agonizing pain. This is inhumane. Any other provider they pay within days but have tried to find any way to not pay this when it is a covered service. I'm tired of getting the run around and people refusing to respond. This mistreatment needs to be addressed by upper management immediately and the provider paid. This is stressing me out even more as a cancer patient which is affecting my health in a negative way. If it isn't paid immediately I will take legal action for the additional pain and suffering I have had to endure the last year during this ordeal. I shouldn't suffer because you are not paying out for benefits I'm entitled to for the insurance I'm paying monthly for.

    My employer is located in Alabama and I (thankfully) live in the state of ********. Unfortunately I have a mass inside my breast and I need an MRI to make sure I don't have cancer. BCBS denied the preauthorization and denied coverage. In the state of Maryland MRIS for breast cancer detection are supposed to be covered 100%. But BCBS of Alabama said they don't have to obey Maryland law but they don't have any issues taking my money as a resident of ********. This is not a frivolous test. The breast specialist ordered because they need to know if i indeed have cancer. BCBS OF alabama DOES NOT CARE. It is hurdle after hurdle after hurdle. If my diagnosis and treatment are delayed it will be their fault. They do not care about cancer or potential cancer patients. I have paid the premiums for 5 years and didn't use their services at all because of the pandemic. Now that I need one test for cancer they are denying it and charging me for it. Shame on this company. also their customer service representatives are the most callous, cruel and malicious people I have dealt with in a health insurance situation. Please if you are a woman find another insurer. this people purpose is to delay your treatment.

    April 30, 2023 ************** X** X** Dear **************: We are responding to your complaint concerning coverage for an MRI. According to the guidelines of your employer's contract, Pet Scans, CT Scans, MRIs, CCTAs and CCTs require precertification and/or prior authorization. If no precertification and/or prior authorization is obtained, no benefits are available. Precertification for these service(s) is handled by your provider in ProviderAccess or by calling **************. This information is located in your employer's benefit booklet on page 16. A customer service representative advised your provider of this group requirement on April 25, 2024. A customer service representative also advised you on April 29, 2024, that at this time, we have not received a request for an MRI and offered to call the provider for you. We regret that you are not please with your group's benefits, however we must follow the guidelines of the contract.Sincerely, ****************
