I got a confirmation on 4/21/2022 through reservations that I could stay 1 night at the Holiday Inn Airport and Park my car for 10 days for $* a day for 7/3 stay and car stay for 7/4-7-14. I called the hotel directly to verify this and was told it would be $** a day. I called the direct reservations back and spent several days and hours resolving this issues. They finally verified it would be $* since it had been quoted at that rate. I tried probably 20 times to get a manager at the Birmingham hotel to verify this. I kept getting transferred back to the general reservation desk. They would assure me it was in their computer in Birmingham. I would call back to Birmingham another day and if anyone would answer it was the same story and I would get transferred back to reservations or the manager was not in and I would leave a message for them to call me back. No one ever did! Probably left 5 messages. Finally gave up. A week before my trip, I called reservations again and was assured it would be in their computer that I would get the $* a day rate and could park my car there for 10 days. When I arrived in July 3 I was told there were no parking spaces and they were very sorry. There was nothing about it in the computer. Something about the world games and they needed all the spaces for it! I made reservations over 2 months ago and that is a rotten way to run a business! I recommend no one ever try to stay there and think you can park your car there because you will not have a place to leave your car! I ended up going down the street to the Ramada Inn and saved me over $100 a night for the hotel plus they can keep my car for 10 days! Do not believe anything they tell you here!
