      I tried to get the service they double charged my card and then said that they didn't accept my card as payments this is clearly a scam I would not suggest getting hooked on phonics for anyone their customer service is trash their employees are trash if your child needs help reading please seek other means to help them read because hooked on phonics is not a good company

      I paid for a trial version. I've attempted to cancel, and try to login into my account to cancel but I don't remember creating a user and password to even be subscribed. I've now been charged 24.99 and no help or email from hooked and company.... Every complaint, I see is the exact same issue. I've attempted to call on Monday without any luck to reaching anyone as of 3pm. This is a scam within a scam. They refund people that complain on here... But they know most won't take steps to notice they are being billed.. This is a legal scam to squirm out the most profit vs loss.

      No subscription was "clear" at checkout - which is why so many people were scammed into this and why you have such a bad rating. At any rate, I need a refund for the two 29$ charges on my card for the fraudulent purchases. Otherwise I will need to call the bank to report your fraud and contact other relevant agencies to report the company.

      Deceptive practices. Dishonest customer service. Disappointing communication. Definitely untrustworthy. Do not use. I'm sure there are better book subscription services available.

Please reach out to us should you need assistance with anything: **************************** ***** What's concerning and possibly funny (?) is that I received no ornaments from the company. This issue was due to deceptive practices and lack of clear communication concerning a book subscription. I don't know if they have too many companies that they are poorly managing that they cannot keep up with their correspondence, or if they purposely trying to misinform. Regardless of how they "feel," the facts remain-- Deceptive practices. Dishonest customer service. Disappointing communication. Definitely untrustworthy. Do not use. I'm sure there are better book subscription services available.

      Very disappointed in their services. I subscribed and paid for the welcome package of books, logged in to my account to see if the books were shipped, they were not yet. On the next day, when I tried to login - the system wouldn't allow me, I wrote to customer service in chat and emails, noone helped, they only said: you cancled your subscribtion and cannot access your account anymore. I told they that I didn't cancel and still want to receive the books I paid for, but they said its impossible and the books won't be shipped even if I request it and paid for it. Wow, I regret of my time spent on this awful product

      As a previous owner of the original hooked on phonics system that lasted through my first two children buying the app for my youngest who learns very well on her tabled as to book work was a no brainer. I downloaded the free version we had no issues at all when I was able to afford the full version of the app it was a purchase without questions. No sooner than it was paid for the app no longer accepted my login. I contacted support and did as advisers said to no avail. Continuing to pay for the app but unable to use it I finally was able to cancel the subscription and request refund I was denied buy hooked on phonics because they can’t find my account information but my bank account has been charge for over a year for the subscription. As a believer in the reading program and a long time user of google play I am disappointed in both companies handling my request for a refund and the lack of remorse for denying my child a advantage in her learning to read. The money spent would have been worth it if I was able to use the product yet we never had that opportunity.

      SCAM ARTISTS. Sent me a welcome package and charged me for the NEXT shipment before I even got the first one. What a con job! I would never buy anything further from a company who did something Iike this. Instead of refunding me, they pretty much told me, tough. It's my loss. Shop them back, I'm still on the hook for shipping! Wow. Total scam artists.

      EXTREMELY deceiving with the "four books for the price of one!" Yeah, for the FIRST shipment only, and then I got billed $22, and THEN they added a "holiday" package that I absolutely did NOT request. I don't think $22 is a terrible price, but the fact that they were not up front about the price, added on a package I did NOT ask for, made it hard to find the cancel subscription, and when you finally do find it, it asks for the reason you are cancelling. Not one option states the obvious reason why everyone cancels.
