In the fall of 2023 my water heater stopped working. Mike Scott Plumbing were prompt to respond. The technician fixed the problem quickly. He did advise that it was an old heater and if the problem persisted we should replace it. The problem did not persist. However, early December, I ran out of gas, which was 4 months early, at least from expected. I filled the tank 96 lbs to the cost of ******. Three months and 9 days later I ran out of gas again; there are only two residents in this home. I called the gas company, figuring there must be a leak. The technician came out, tested their equipment and found no leaks. So, he came in to check the stove and the water heater. What he found was the water heater was leaking because the plumber had not tightened up all the part he replaced. The gas technician said the leak could have blown our home up at any time. I contacted ***** at MSP. He said he needed a statement from the gas company. I tried for two weeks and finally a lady explained to me that they do not have anymore of a record then the ticket that I received. I sent this ticket to ***** explaining the situation again. I do not want anything more that the money I spent out and lost on gas that their repair job caused. I estimate I lost ****** to ****** by running out 4 months early, and I lost ****** for the second tank and ***** for a service call. ***** responded to the second email that he still needed a statement from the gas company and he did not see where anyone came out on a warranty call. It was not a warranty call as I had already explained, and I had also explained that I could only show them the delivery ticket. I feel that ***** has a responsibility to speak with the gas company to verify the ticket and reimburse me for gas they caused me to lose. i am not asking for anything but that. I Thank God we didn't blow up, but since we didn't I now have the burden of paying for a mistake not of my making. ****************Review from Draxie B

Had new hot water tank installed on 5/31/22 and w/in two hours of install master bath toilet was non-functional. Called for service on 5/31 and advised someone would call me back. No call. Called on 6/1 (Nicomis) and was put on schedule for 2:00-6:00 pm. Called at 4:30 to see if I'm on schedule still and advised that rep is in Bushnell. At 6:45 called Mike S**** office as rep is/was a "no show." Mind you no calls received from any rep to verify scheduled time to arrive. I left all info at main gate of our community. On 6/2 called again and was told rep was denied entry. This doesn't happen as if a contractor comes in, the guard will call the resident home and ask permission for entry. So I'm back on service call for 10:00-2:00 window. Called at 12:30 to see if rep was still on schedule. Asked for Supervisor (Kevin) and Wesley would be tech for today. Supervisor not in; however, he called me back at 12:45 and really read me the riot act. He explained that hot wanter tank not connected to toilet issue; he repeated this 4 times. I got it. However, he accused me of being disrespectful & discourteous to "his girls." He told me that I would be hit with a service call & $80 hr. rate. He was the disrespectful one telling me that I'm thinking I'm the only one with plumbing issues. He kept cutting me off and told me he was going to terminate the service call. I told him fine. For three days I went w/out a functional toilet and there were never, not even one f/up call on their part. Both Nicomis & other receptionist were polite. Do I feel I have a right to be frustrated, yes I do. I was reminded to be more cognizant of a worker shortage. I'm fully aware of this. Kevin needs to be fired for a lack of manners and yelling in the phone to me as a customer. Very rude!Mike Scott Plumbing, Inc. Response

Technicians never entered or touch the toilet in question. Sent technicians out after hours to see what the issue was. Customer did not answer call from technicians who were not allowed in the community guard gate without authorization. Had dispatch try and call customer as well with no response. Customer called back to our office 4 different times demanding to speak to the supervisor. This was all within an hour. Called customer back and tried to explain that our install of a water heater had nothing to do with the toilet in the master. Customer has hot water everywhere else and no issues anywhere else in the home. Was told she would be charged a service call for us to come out and look at it. She was refusing to listen to any reason and would not accept anything else. All are calls are recorded.Customer Response

Here's chronological listing of calls/comments:
5/31 hot water tank installed; no master bath toilet functional. Placed phone call to answering service.
6/1 No call from Mike Scott plumbing. Called Nicomis and she will put me on schedule today for 2/6. I called at 4:30 to see if I was still on schedule and tech in Bushnell, but will be here. At 6:45 got Adrian (answering service) and he took all info and said I would get a return call. No tech arrived.
6/2 Called Mike S**** and spoke with Hope. Their note said tech was denied entry. This can't be as Del Webb procedure is if I don't list company that is visiting, the guard will call me to authorize entry. Also, why didn't the tech call me personally? Now Kevin (supvr) said their vehicles have GPS tracking and their tech was at gate. Now, that could be, but he never registered in with Del Webb. So, what does this tell you? I check with guard for entry on that date and any timing after 6:00 - no visitor!
Same day - called at 12:00 to see if I was still on schedule for call between 10:00-2:00. Spoke w/Nicomis. Please note that thruout my conversations with Nicomis and Hope I was NEVER rude to them. However, when I asked what is the name of the supervisor I was told Kevin and asked for the name of tech, Wesley. I never asked to speak with the supervisor as I was going to lodge a complaint with BBB re: Kevin's lack of professionalism in dealing with a customer. Now maybe that's where Nicomis didn't like the questions, but as a customer that's my right. This conversation occurred at 12:30 pm and at 12:45 pm Kevin called me. I NEVER asked for a supervisor to call me. He took the liberty of calling me to do nothing but chastise me; repeated how hot water tank not connected to toilet issue and I got this. But then he accused me of being disrespectful to "his girls" and that's when I realized I was dealing with an idiot who doesn't even have respect for his own staff in addressing them properly. Kevin has a short fuse, doesn't allow the customer to complete comments w/out cutting them off.
He cancelled my visit with tech and hung up on me. I think my complaints are valid as I was scheduled for three visits with a tech never showing up, No excuse for that w/no phone call to back up.
My complaint is certainly not with Chucky, the installer, nor with the office staff as I realize what their responsibilities are in handling a customer, but with Kevin it is the lack of common courtesy to hear a customer out and speak politely to a customer. Kevin did not exhibit any of these traits and I still feel he should be fired. Perhaps, Mr. Shawn S**** needs to hear about the call that was recorded to determine who displayed the rude behavior.Mike Scott Plumbing, Inc. Response

Customer was scheduled through a gas service company we went and installed the water heater checked the heater and temp and everything was fine 5-31-2022 Customer stated . Our tech never enter the master toilet and changing a water heater had nothing to do with the toilet. On 6-1-2022 her master bathroom toilet was not working but everything else in the house was e schedule a tech to go out after hours and customer lives in a community that requires she tell the gate or answer the phone. GPS shows tech there and no answer from customer. Dispatch tried calling customer with no success. Keep in mind we have two calls to this address that cost money when someone doesn't answer and we drive all the way there 45 miles.. Customer called our office several times on 6-2-2022 and was rude and dictated to each associate she spoke with. Demanded that a supervisor spoke with her. After all was investigated it was determined that we would go out but it would a regulars service charge. ( The initial call was not billed to her but instead the gas company and we weren't going to charge them for something that had nothing to with the situation.) Customer did not agree with te charges and refused to listen to any reason and at that time we decided it was not a good fit for the company or the customer.Review from Denny M

I had them out due to my shower backing up and toilets over flowing when draining tub. 2 young men arrived ran snake in about 4 foot said was no issues. Came in flushed toilet said it was fine. After 7 minutes here and 154.00 later they left but problem still existed. Called back was told it would be full price because they didn't see a problem. There is obviously a problem. Out of the 7 minutes here they was clowning around with each other outside. BEWAREMike Scott Plumbing, Inc. Response

The service was done 30 days ago 4/5/2022 for a stoppage. Today 5-5-2022 she decided to ask for a warranty due to being stopped up again. We do not warranty stoppages due to not being able to control the amount of paper, grease etc what the customer put in their system. The customer was offered a refund but continues to use social media. No plumbing company offers warranty on stoppages due to the statement above. I encourage the customer to call other plumbing companies to confirm.Customer Response

If you are offering a refund I will gladly except. When your crew said it seemed fine because my toilet flushed I tried asking what caused it when I let my water out of tub they were unsure as it didn't do it then. No I was out of town 2 weeks and when returning it was still doing it but also knew yours didn't have the capability of finding out what's causing it so contacted someone else after my call to your office. I did put it on 2 social media sites before you agreed to refund No I do not put anything but toilet paper down. So your assumption is false. Just 2 of us in house that we purchased in November. Please reply back how to receive my refund and I will put it on that you made it right once I receive itMike Scott Plumbing, Inc. Response

Mke Scott Plumbing has been our go-to plumbers since we move here in 2012. Today we had James R. come work on assorted plumbing issues in our bathrooms. He was friendly, professional, patient with our questions. As always, we are very happy with his service!
