I hired a moving company by the name of ********* for May 13, 2022. When moving day came, a Luna's Moving and Hauling truck was there to move me. I was told when the manager showed up as they were unloading, that the original company had been bought out the previous winter. I hadn't been informed of the change prior to this. The movers scratched the hardwood flooring in the original residence when they dragged my couch across it. During the unloading, the etched mirror from my bedroom dresser was smashed, drinking glasses and mugs were smashed/cracked, and the cover of a storage container was wrecked. I was told right away that the mirror would be replaced. I didn't know about the other broken items until later. I have been waiting since the moving day for the mirror. Initially, I was told they had to get quotes (understandable). When I inquired about the status, I was told they had trouble finding a business to do the etching. The next excuse was they hadn't heard from the first business where they ordered the mirror, and were going to order from another. I kept getting excuses. The last is that they are going to pay me out because they can't get a timeline from any of the businesses, and need to get quotes (again). I made a few phone calls, sent a few emails, and within a few hours, I was able to find a business who could do the etching, and who could have it done within 3-4 weeks. On July 11, 2022, I sent an email to the owner requesting authorization to place the order directly myself, and have them bill Luna's Moving and Hauling so they would have the receipt for their insurance claim. I have had no response. I feel 10.5 weeks of waiting is more than enough time to have this dealt with. They refused to reimburse me for any of the other damages their employees caused. The length of time it took for them to do the whole move was almost double the time it took for the previous movers to do very similar work. ***********************************************
