      Montgomery Industrial Services provided services in December of 2022 of disconnecting a mobile home, reconnecting it in a new location, and putting up a trailer electrical outlet at the old location of the mobile home. In January or February, I had requested the install of the electrical outlet be billed separately, which I was told would be no problem. I did not receive any invoice until May 12, 2023. It was all included in one invoice, and I had been billed $614 for rental of a boom and lift that I had been quoted $500 for. I called about the issues several times as I was either put on hold or told the person I needed to speak with was not available. I left messages. Finally, approximately 3 weeks later, I got a response. I was told it would be fixed. Next I did get two separate invoices and the price of the lift rental had been adjusted, but the rest was just additional charges that had not been included on the original invoice. Including 4 hours of work in Blyth (the mobile home was never in Blyth, so that makes no sense). Again I called, and was told it would be looked into. Received a message that hours had been forgotten on the original invoice. Tried calling again to explain the hours in Blyth, but no one will speak with me. At this point, I don't trust their billing to be accurate to the job done. I would like the original invoice to be separated out into two bills (one for the electrical outlet, the rest on the other), and the rental for the lift to remain at the quoted $500. I would also like there to be no interest charged as they have been refusing to speak with me. To date, $1300 has been paid towards the invoice(s).

      A furnace quitting at the end of November leaves a person feeling pretty vulnerable. When that furnace heats an Aquarium Store with tropical fish that don't tolerate Canadian winter weather, a person feels even more vulnerable. An emergency call on a Sunday night brought quick results considering the service man came from 40 kilometers away. It didn't resolve the issue but it gave me enough heat through the night to maintain low but adequate water temperature in the aquariums. I spent the night at the store and restarted the furnace a number of times until by morning the burner refused to light again. Another emergency call - with all technicians tied up had me watching temperatures closely, with nothing more I could do if they continued to drop. But the company managed to get someone to me who got the furnace functioning again and identified one small part that needed replaced. The replacement wasn't possible that day so I spent a second night at the store - but the furnace operated properly through that night and the next day until the replacement was done and I could go home and sleep in my own bed with confidence it would operate through the night.

      When a second invoice arrived after the second emergency call, I felt a sense of dismay. But when I printed them out to compare them, I realized it was the same invoice number. They hadn't charged me twice. That changed my focus from 'how do I complain effectively?' to 'how do I say THANK YOU appropriately?'

      This is just to express my appreciation. You helped me through a very difficult situation.

      I made my calls through the Hanover Phone number of the previous business name of *********** and reached an actual person, not an answering machine, even though the first call was after hours on a Sunday evening.
