On October 26th, 2022, online I subscribed to the Globe and Mail for $6/month (6.90$ tax included). I received an email stating that I have now access to Globe and mail. Within that e-mail there was an attachment (that I did not see until a couple of weeks ago) stating in VERY SAMLL PRINT that my renewal would be 32.15$/month once my 1 year subscription expires. This attachment was sent October 2022. I called G&M clientele service several times on that issue. I explained that I did not receive a heads up that my credit card would be charged. They said that I had received an attachment on October 2022 that upon my renewal I would be charged monthly full price 32.15$ I explained that this email was sent a year ago and I didn't receive a warning that upon expiration I would be automatically charged. Every call they would tell me that a superviser would get back within 24 hours. After 48-72 no call back; I had to start the process again. I finally spoke to Kimberly who sent me an email asking me to explain in detail the situation. I did not understand what she was asking.. I called back (4th time) and again "someone will contact you within 24 hours". Still no call..so much confusion about this issue.

I have been a subscriber to the Globe and Mail for more than 40 years. The subscription is for the home delivery edition. It is supposed to be delivered to my apartment door on the second floor of a 3 story building. For the past year or so, the carrier has frequently left the paper in the lobby of the building. I would phone and complain and delivery to my door would resume. This happened frequently.

The paper was left in the lobby on Monday and Tuesday, March 27 and 28. I called on the Tuesday and talked to an agent who promised to fix the problem. The same happened on Wed. and Thursday with the same results. The paper was not delivered to my door on either Friday or Saturday so I phoned on Sat. and canceled my subscription.

A few days later I received an email asking how satisfied I was with the last call. I said that I was totally dissatisfied and was asked if I wished to be contacted by an account manager. I have never been contacted.

The Globe still advertises delivery to your door on their website. This is appalling customer service.
