    GizmoGrind received my device on July 14. On August 28, I received an email confirming the device had passed inspection and that payment would be released the following week.

    On September 11, I followed up again, as I still had not received payment.

    On September 19, GizmoGrind informed me they could not pay me using an ***** Gift Card, despite it being an option listed on their site, and said they would issue an e-transfer instead. It has now been another week, and I still have not received any payment. As of today, September 25, it has been more than 2 months since they received my device, well beyond the 3-day turnaround time advertised on their website, and I still haven’t received any payment.

    I trade my device for 479$. I shipped them my and device was delivered to them on Aug 6 2025. I was supposed to paid out within 2-3 business days. However till aug 21 2025 i haven’t received any money. When i try to reach their helpline it doesn’t work. I am constantly contacting *** ******** - Sales Manager who is just giving me excuses for not to pay me

    I was offered tadein value of 479$ however after so much delay i only received 449$. They are not doing fair business with customers. Instead of giving compensation for the inconvenience they are not even giving full value which was offered. Please resolve this asap.

    I have used GizmoGrind in the past without issue.

    I shipped my phone to them on June 6, 2025 with the provided *** Label and it was delivered to them on June 9, 2025. I have tried reaching out to them by phone, unsuccessfully and they do not provide an email address that I can find.     Gizmogrind Canada use to be an electronics recycling company. A customer would sell them their used electronics and Gizmogrind would access the value of the electronics and provide a fair payment for said items.

    I haven't used the company for a couple of years, but reached out on January 20th, 2024 and was approved to send back a ******* ** **** Tablet/Case/Pencil and a 2014 17" ******* Pro. I was told the value was $173.00 and I would be paid by interact within a few days of receipt. Shipped items by *** and arrived on Jan 22nd. On Jan 27th tried to contact only to find their voicemail was full and their email address bounced back. On Jan 28th, got an email from their American counterpart stating they had received my two items and I should receive payment within 2 to 3 days. As of February 3rd have not heard back, seen payment or been able to contact Lucie G. who is supposedly the co-founder. She is always "unavailable" to take the phone. When I try to login to my account, it says it no longer exists.

    When you ****** Gizmogrind you will find that they have 3 different addresses in Toronto, on Davies, Gerrard and Adelaide, all using the same 1-800 contact number.

    This company claims they are BBB accredited, which they are not. They have "testimonials" from *** and ***, which I have found out from their legal departments they did not give any testimonials to this company.

    Because the value of the goods is under $5,000 the Toronto Police will not investigate.

    I sent this company my ****** ** *** *** because they offered to pay me $756 for it.
    The quote ID is ************. I mailed it on 10/24 and it arrived on 10/27 per **** tracking number ********************** with the provided label the emailed me. On their site it says, “it takes 3-4 business days from the moment you ship your phone to get your payment”. I mailed it on 10/24/23 and today is 11/15/23 and I have not received payment. I contacted them on 11/9/23 and they responded basically saying they are behind and my payment is to be released on 11/13/23. I then wrote them back on 11/14/23 to tell them I did not get paid and they responded that they will check on it. It has been 24 hours and I have not heard anything. I have messaged again and am awaiting reply. This company has my ****** and has not paid me. Please help.

    I am rejecting this response because: you stated the ***** payment was sent on time. That is not true. For one reason this is from your website: “It takes 3-4 business days from the moment you ship your phone to get your payment.” It took over 3 weeks to receive payment and that’s after multiple requests and filing a complaint. Secondly, you sent the first payment to the wrong *****. So I do not accept that you sent the payment on time. I have received payment after over 3 weeks since shipping. That is not on time.

    On May 13, 2023, I requested a quote to sell my **** ****. Once the quote was received I oped to send my sell my **** and requested the label to send in the **** and receive my payment by *****. The website states it will send payment 2 days after receiving the item. The **** was received on 5/19/23 at @1:28pm. No payment has been received yet and I have tried to reach out 2 times. Once on 5/31/23 via their online form and again on 6/2/23 to [email protected] with no response and no payment. I would like to know when I will be receiving payment or when they will be returning my ****.

    Unlike promises on the website payments do no happen within 2 days - device in their office for a week without anyone completing inspection. When asking for device to be shipped back it has not been done in a timeous manner. Courier delivers to their office everyday, and shipping labels are created instantly when sending in device, there should be no delays in shipping back to customers.
