Date of the transaction: 2023-03-13 (Received product 2023-04-03) Amount of money paid to the business: $6,577.20 CAD Business committed to providing: -The most advanced desktop extruder on the market. -Revolutionary extrusion hardware and digitally regulated filament diameter control. -State-of-the-art software that enables a new level of extrusion control when experimenting with polymers and additives. -A system 3x more efficient than their closest competitor. -Allowing their software to produce filament on autopilot. -An integrated spooler that will neatly spool the filament. -Savings of up to 80% on material costs of 3D printing. -A unit made with precision-machined North American components, subjected to a full multi-point inspection and performance test. -The only extruder certified to UL, CE, FCC, and RoHS specs. -Support for PLA, ABS, PETG, HIPS, Nylon 12, and more. -Diameter Tolerance +/-0.05mm. -Throughput 500g/hr max. -0.01mm Measurement Precision. -Intelligent Diameter Control System. -CNC Machined Steel. Nature of the dispute: Almost none of the commitments have been fulfilled. I have paid $6,577.20 CAD to receive a used machine that doesn't work. Has the business tried to resolve the problem? None of the accusations made are true - there was no issue with the machine and it was not used. The customer just did not follow the instructions and refused to work with our support team to resolve the problem. Despite that, we have offered the customer a full refund once the unit is returned.Business response

I participated in ReDeTec's ******** crowdfunding campaign back in 2016. I paid $789 USD ($699 USD + $90 shipping to Australia), expecting to receive a ProtoCycler a year or so later. A couple of years went by with no update from ReDeTec. I contacted them in 2018 and received assurance that my ProtoCylder would be delivered around July 2018. It did not turn up, and ReDeTec stopped responding to my emails. Finally, an email sent to them in 2021 received a response. They wanted to sell me a ProtoCyler+ for what I'd already paid them plus 25%. My other option was to receive a refund of the original payment. I disputed this, ********** **** **** ******* *** **** *** ***** ***** ******** ************ ***** ** ** ******** **** ****. In response, they went ahead and issued a refund via Stripe to a credit card of mine that no longer existed. It's not nearing the end of 2022 and due to ReDeTec's actions my money is stuck with a bank which won't return it to me. They're no longer responding to my emails again.
