    Hello. In early July I was in the process of purchasing a home through a private sale. Prior to the closing date of July 20th the seller required a $******* deposit sent to Ericksons LLP. On July 20th the deal went dead due to seller not extending conditions. At which point the deposit was to be returned minus a basic fee of $****** plus HST ($******) for a total of $*******. I have contacted Ericksons requesting this money be returned numerous times only to be told the accountant is away. (She’s been away for 2 months now it seems). In early August I was told I only gave them a $*** deposit and I would be getting $****** returned to me by check (they don’t even have my address). On Tuesday August 29th I set the record straight regarding the proper amount ($*******) and was told that the full amount would be deposited on Thursday August 31st and I then sent along my banking information to them. Just this morning I was told the accountant only works on weekends. Which is not true. There is zero urgency shown from them and this matter is not being taken seriously. I’ve missed out on two other houses due to missing this extra chunk of money for a down payment *** *** ** * ****** ****** **** ****. They have been incredibly short and rude with me and make it seem like I’m inconveniencing them by asking for my money. At this point I have zero reason to believe I’ll be seeing this money anytime soon and I can not continue waiting. Thanks for your time.
