On or about August 2022, I paid in cash approximately $ ********. This was to hire Taylor made contracting to provide prepping and finishing services , to have new concrete installed on my residential property. I was to pay for the concrete material separately from the finishing contract. The Company owner started the work, and left it for approximately two weeks initially. My fiancé who was communicating to The owner of Taylor made contracting, had to call the contractor Fern T*****, and have him attend and Finish the job. Fern was told that he would be fired if work did not immediately resume the work. Once the work commenced, everything went fairly well. At the end of the job, there were no instructions on how to protect the new finished concrete, and our fence got broken by Fern T****** when he hit a post with a machine. Fern poured and finished the rear yard first, and it was noted that he quickly finished the new slabs and the side walks. We think he should have spent more time on the new concrete surfaces with the floating and making of it. This is very important, so that the stones rise to the surface of the pour. The last part of the pour was our drive way, which was poured two days later. At no time was I instructed to have concrete tested or protected. Fern T***** should of explained to me, the customer that the new concrete was to be sealed, with a coating. I believe for the money spent, it should of been done by the contractor. In March 2023, I noticed that our rear sidewalk was melted down to the surface of the concrete, and it looked like it was peeling. The finished surface of the concrete was chipping off. Pictures were taken at this time. As the spring 2023 melted the snow and ice, I could see that we had damage everywhere on our new concrete pours. The surfaces were breaking off everywhere, and it looks awful. I had to save for many years to have this work done. Fern initially said he would replace it, with the concrete company, now refuses to.

Hey thank you for reaching out to me as I told **** client  I had sealed the job with a water based deep penetrating sealer to protect the slab.

The slab flaking had nothing to do with finishing as we did everything in accordance to standard procedure as well you customer verbally told me that I did nothing wrong and ,that I did a great job.

That being said **** client verbally indicated to me that he had used ice melt on surface because he didn’t want to shovel as well as far as post being hit I have picture and the  fence post was totally rotten and when I offered to fix it **** client told me it was fine and that he would take care of it .

As well **** client worked for a concrete company and and knew exactly what he needed to do to take care of his concrete as he told me he had a construction company and knew what he was doing .

Also as far as payment **** client has yet pay in full for the job and has caused damage to my loader dump truck and customer property .

Going forward all communication will be through my lawyer, **** ******

    Regards
