      Paid $2100 deposit for countertop which was 50%. Upon measurements done they wanted an additional $720 dollars which I said no. I asked for my deposit back. They said ok minus $500 for travel. I said no I want back all my $2100

      The initial quote was based on the client's measurement that he provided directly to a member of our sales team.  Dani drew up a contract that reflected the measurements provided. Our contracts provide a clause for discrepancies in measurements as many times measurements by clients are not reliable and do not account for over-hangs.  C&M measurements are done with a digital templater for accuracy and precision.  All production is based on the digital drawings from the templater.  The templater provides us with the square footage of each job.

      ** *********** ******* ** ******** **** ******** *** ********** ******* ****** ************ *** *** ***** ***** *** ** *********** ** *************The job was quoted at $120.00 per square foot, based on the client's measurement (25 square feet) the cost of the countertop was $3,000.00 plus $500.00 for out-of-town measurements and $500.00 for installation, for a total of $4,000.00 plus GST.

      The actual measurement of the countertop is 31 square feet.  This now corresponds to $3,720.00 plus $500.00 for out-of-town measurements and $500.00 for installation, for a total of $4,720.00 plus GST.

      The actual size of the countertop is 24% larger than what the client provided.

      The client has signed a contract with C&M, he has also read and initialed the clause explaining the potential difference between drawings/measurements provided by clients and actual measurement.  C&M has already encountered cost on this job
