    I was in ******* for my wife she had a surgery. I noticed my exhaust hanger was broken so I took my truck to napa rocktown automotive it was close to where I was staying they proceeded to weld my hanger and when he brought my truck out of the shop they said don't worry no charge and when I got into my truck the signals and 4 ways did not work anymore I asked if they disconnected my battery before welding on my truck and they said they did not and never do. I had said well everything worked when my truck went in your shop and they said it must just be a coincidence and refuse to fix the problem. Upon returning to ******* I had to pay ****** $300 to look at my truck and they determined the cluster has to be replaced $1700 to do this. I then contacted the gm of napa rocktown auto and they refuse to pay to resolve the issue that they caused. Not to mention the weld they did was atrocious.

    Dear BBB and Mr. **** *****.

     

    The said shop ( ************************************ the took this client in on short noticed based on the request that someone else had done a muffler hanger weld repair that didn't work/hold.  At the time we proceeded to perform the repair requested. During the initial visit the client himself proceeded to share with my counter staff and shop staff the alterations and add-ons that he had made to his truck. We did this repair as we would have done for all clients that we perform work for. After the fact that client told us that something might be wrong, so we proceeded to check his complaint at not extra cost to him to try and diagnose his additional concern and help out. Only to be told that we should be responsible for anything that seems to be going wrong. Unfortunately we have done all we could to try and help. There is no way for us to be 100% tied to this failure, as all we did is a hanger weld performed that way it is done in 99% of today repair shop. This failure occurrence can be a result of to many factors and previous repairs and addons done to this vehicle and we had not been made aware of the past history prior to the repair being performed.. 

    This was communicated to Mr. ********** ***** multiple time. 

     

    At this moment We are not providing a favorable response to Mr. **** ******* request. Our position remain as communicated
