Regards to Extended warranty on Nissan Sentra bought from ********* Nissan(closed)/Morningside Nissan. I singed sales and warranty agreement and pick up at Morningside Nissan (****** *** ********). When I contacted initially Gen. Mng. Mike M. didn't offer refund. I found out about refund from *********** Nissan where I bought a new used car from. I bought Sentra 2019 on 12/12/2020 which became total loss due to accident. So I requested refund of the Extended warranty. They claimed the refund amount is $622.22. The section of calculation and refund amount was kept blank in the cancelation form. Therefore, I requested to explain how they calculated the amount but they say too complex to tell and asked me to sign on the calculation form. The refund amount was mentioned in email. My warranty was up to 100,000km/72 month/ $2180.00. Nissan said the cancelation date is 23/03/2023 and starting date of warranty is 23/01/2019 even I bought my car on 12/12/2020. Morningside Nissan told me contact warranty division but they have not provide phone # or/and email me to contact it. I escalated to Nissan Canada and they suggested to email NCESI. NCESI said contact dealer. Called back Nissan Canada which the rep. asked me to contact dealer they can't do anything. But dealer says they don't handle refund. According to example calculation I received after a month of emails and calls should be below. % of time used 28/100=28% (I think should be 28/72) % of mileage 48677/100000= 48.677% (my mileage was 48,677km) They take lesser factor whichever. My case is kilometer. So matter is 100-48.677 = 51.323% should apply to the price $2180.00 2180x 51.323%=$1118.84 -$50 as fee = $1068.84 this should be refund amount. But Morningside Nissan is saying $622.22. They use matter as 28.158% so I asked where this % came from. Then I was told warranty starting date is 23/01/2019 which almost 2 years prior to my purchasing date. Nissan says starting date is correct and no mistake.
