  I sent sample week of 10-sep-2023. They ckaim it wasn't received until Oct 6. This conveniently a day after I uploaded a picture of the dog. It could be the postal system but more likely I think this is poor timeliness and others have posted about this company making guesses based on pictures. Save your money and use more reliable services like ******. I still don't have results after a month.....

  We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the length of time it took for **** to mail your sample to us. I do see that your results were available in less than two weeks after your sample was received.  It sounds like perhaps you have not logged into your account to review them yet.  Additionally, you can only upload a photo at the time your test is registered, not after.  Adding a photo is optional and does not affect the results you receive. Results are based strictly on the DNA sample provided. 

  
  

   

  
  

  I do note that you completed a test with us earlier in the year and upgraded your kit after you received those results.   As a repeat customer, we trust you have enjoyed the results you have received.  Please contact us directly should you require any assistance with retrieving your results.

  I purchased the test on June 20th, 2023.
  July 12th 2023. I received an email saying that DNA my dog has received my DNA sample. But oddly enough, included in that email is a line about upgrading to the premium test which is something that I already bought and so this confused me.
  I emailed them back explaining my confusion. They assure me that I have already bought the premium test and that my results would be available in 2 to 3 weeks.
  July 27th I received an email that states breed determination. The body of their email to me states:
  "Dear ****** ******,
  Thank you for using DNA My Dog to discover your dog's unique genetic make up.
  Attached is a printable document of your custom certificate.
  Thank you for testing your dog with us, we really appreciate it.

  I click on the attachment and it does not tell me what the breed of my dog is. It only gives an estimate of how old the dog is. So I emailed them again.
  July 26th, 2023 I state that I am unable to see the breed of my dog. DNA my dog replies that the genetic age test has been completed and I am still waiting for the breed test to come back.
  August 16th, 2023. I have almost forgotten that I am still waiting for results until a friend reminds me. So, I went back to my previous email where they told me we were still waiting for the breed results and replied to them. I asked once again where the results are and let them know that I think this is taking an absurd amount of time. Within two and a half hours. I magically have my test results. As they just finished...
  I am also seeing that DNA my dog is a mediocre company at best. So now not only am I unhappy with the customer service and the length of time that I have waited. But I am also unhappy with the amount of money I paid. I would not recommend it.

  I think this company tries to be accurate, but their methods are flawed. Like others, I sent my almost 100% beagle dogs kit to them, only to be told she is Rottweiler (Level 3), Siberian Husky (Level 3), Akita (Level 4), Mastiff (Level 4), and Pug (Level 4). I purposely did not send a photo because I wanted to see what they came up with. I see many excuses from them regarding their test, but in the end there is just little accuracy. Imagine if you did your own DNA test and it came back showing you were not even included in the basic DNA that you looked like (i.e. all from white races, when in fact your skin was black). I am not looking for any refund, just an acknowledgement that the test are flawed. And disclosures should be stated up front "Don't be surprised if your dogs looks are not part of their DNA"... * ******* ***** *** ***** ********* **** ****** *** ****** *** ******** **** ******** ********* ***** ****** ***** ** *** ** *********

  We are sorry to hear you were not happy with your results. We do provide accurate results and any one of our team would be happy to go over your results with you, Sometimes results are not what you expect, and dogs can always look different in a mix. I can see how the mix you state above could look like a Beagle, for example. Our test is designed to provide an accurate breed break down.
